Sugar Beach Resort

We love this resort.. if feels like it's in the center of everything and has 7 miles of walkable beach with gorgeous views.. turtles.. flowers.. foliage. The pool is nice and right off the beach.. hottub is perfect temp.. we meet amazing people every night in the hottub and learned all the adventures. A

The carpets were dirty and the vents in the bathroom were very dirty. Also there were at least three lizards in the unit. What we did like was the ocean view and the outside grounds.

We love the location to go anywhere on the island or just a short drive into Kihei. Beautiful beach and nice pool area!

Location was excellent

We had a lovely vacation. The property is centrally located, making it easy to reach all parts of the island. While it's not a luxury apartment, it felt very homely and comfortable. The beach is just steps away — no reef, but still pleasant for swimming. The facility also includes a pool, which we enjoyed. Highly recommended, and we’d be happy to return.

The view was beautiful from the balcony as it was right on the beach. Unit was very clean and had everything you needed for an enjoyable vacation. The king bed was comfortable and it is always nice to have a washer & dryer. The one recommendation I would make would be to upgrade the living room furniture as it is very uncomfortable and outdated.

The apartment was good with all amenities. The inconvenience was lack of a proper restaurant and convenience store. Unless one has a car no nearly place to buy grocery and necessary things to cook in the apartment. There was only a deli where we could buy sandwich and such eatables. We had to take a taxi whenver we wanted to buy anything like milk, bread etc. No regular public transport either. Though we had a nice apartment with all kitchen utensils we could not cook anything during our stay. It is a shame that the owners could not provide transport once or twice a week to nearby grocery store for people who have no car. We paid so much for the apartment and it is a pity we had to buy cooked food most of the time from the only deli in the premises.

It’s an older, run down property, very windy at the pool or beach, lots of odd rules by a very senior residence population who control the pool in the morning. Weird things like one roll of toilet paper and if you need more you have to go buy it. Will not return.
