Residence Inn by Marriott San Antonio Six Flags at The RIM

The hotel was going thru a renovation and the first night we woke up at 4 am and couldn't breathe very well due to the thick solder smoke from them working on plumbing on thre floor below us. Then we constantly had issues with extremely loud construction noises. Also the water was cut off each night from midnight till 4 am and it was aslo cut off during the day multiple times. Also they had to come in a reseat the toilet because it was leaking on the floor below. It was one issue aftet another we were told that a managet would call and talk to us about reducing the cost of our stay, especially since it was one of the worst experiences we've ever had. We came to this same hotel 6 years ago and this was our 6th year anniversary which was absolutely unacceptable.

We loved the pool and easy to get to location. Parking was well lit and safe. Lots of shopping and dining close.

We have visited this hotel on many occasions from the UK. The rooms are comfortable and clean and whilst a renovation was in progress during our stay this year, we can honestly say it was well planned and did not affect our stay whatsoever. Whilst the fabric of the building is important, what makes it for us are the staff. They are all helpful, cheerful, friendly and go the extra mile to make your stay perfect. We should particularly like to mention Janie, head of housekeeping. She runs a very efficient team and is herself a credit to the hotel. Nothing too much trouble and always happy and helpful, thank you Janie. The breakfast selection varies day to day and the staff in the breakfast room present it well and are also really helpful and cheerful. All in all a great place to stay. We’ll be back next year to sample one of the newly refurbished rooms. In the meantime thank you to one and all.

Our experience at the Residence Inn by Marriott San Antonio Six Flags at The Rim was truly wonderful. From the moment we arrived, we felt well cared for and warmly welcomed—even when a small issue came up with our reservation. The front desk staff responded quickly, kindly, and professionally to resolve the situation and made sure everything was in place for us to enjoy a worry-free stay. We’d like to give a very special thank you to Jorge, Andrea, and their supervisor Celica, who showed exceptional dedication and empathy. They treated us with warmth and patience, and it was clear they genuinely care about the well-being of their guests. We also want to highlight the outstanding work of Ivet, our housekeeper, who was incredibly kind and attentive. She always left our room spotless, tidy, and with a fresh, welcoming atmosphere—something we truly appreciated throughout our stay. The breakfast staff was equally excellent. Although we didn’t get their names, we noticed and appreciated their friendliness and consistent effort to keep everything clean, organized, and well-stocked every morning. Thanks to them, we started each day with a complete and pleasant breakfast. We also thoroughly enjoyed the pool, which was perfect for relaxing after a full day of activities. It was clean, well-maintained, and a great addition to the overall experience. Beyond the facilities, what truly made this stay special was the attention and care from the staff. They made us feel at home—something that’s increasingly rare these days. We’ll definitely return and highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting San Antonio.
