Residence Inn by Marriott San Antonio Six Flags at The RIM

Our experience at the Residence Inn by Marriott San Antonio Six Flags at The Rim was truly wonderful. From the moment we arrived, we felt well cared for and warmly welcomed—even when a small issue came up with our reservation. The front desk staff responded quickly, kindly, and professionally to resolve the situation and made sure everything was in place for us to enjoy a worry-free stay. We’d like to give a very special thank you to Jorge, Andrea, and their supervisor Celica, who showed exceptional dedication and empathy. They treated us with warmth and patience, and it was clear they genuinely care about the well-being of their guests. We also want to highlight the outstanding work of Ivet, our housekeeper, who was incredibly kind and attentive. She always left our room spotless, tidy, and with a fresh, welcoming atmosphere—something we truly appreciated throughout our stay. The breakfast staff was equally excellent. Although we didn’t get their names, we noticed and appreciated their friendliness and consistent effort to keep everything clean, organized, and well-stocked every morning. We also thoroughly enjoyed the pool, it was clean, well-maintained, and a great addition to the overall experience. Beyond the facilities, what truly made this stay special was the attention and care from the staff. They made us feel at home—something that’s increasingly rare these days. We’ll definitely return and highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting San Antonio.

Great stay

Upon check in, I asked if another room might be available. I was told that because I booked through a third party website (they always tell me it’s Expedia), I could not make any changes to my original reservation. I’ve been offered an upgrade if I’m willing to pay for the upgrade. I found this unsatisfactory that I couldn’t be accommodated if I was willing to pay more. As far as the room went, the sofa couch and bed itself was uncomfortable. Room 216. I would call several times over the course of two nights and several times, I would get no answer and had to keep calling. For staying 2 nights, I expected to have my room tended. Sheets changed, new towels, empty trash, etc. but no one tended our room. The pool was nice but I feel that there better options for my family next time.

The beds were so uncomfortable with the worst bedsheets. They use the wrong size of bedsheets and are wrinkled and come off the mattress. The staff was awesome though, except for the one day on Friday, 07/18/25. The kitchen lady!!! She was Ruidoso to everyone during breakfast. She wouldn't show this older couple where the utensils were. She only replied to them, "they are out there" MY husband helped them. She wouldn't help with the trays. Telling everyone rudely, "Don't take tge upstairs". ( Be kind at least & say it professionally) she looked angry at all times. No smile or a GOOD MORNING, when acknowledged. Uncomfortable when eating breakfast. Started closing the breakfast earlier.

To echo my other review, the pool was shared and it was usually full.

My room the AC did not work properly, there was not a kitchen drawer, for the price we paid that’s crazy! They should not sell a room like that. The dressing on was so uneven the drawer continue stay out of their place, you have to pay $10 dollar a night for parking! And last please don’t ask a room with a sofa cama they are really, really uncomfortable, we were not able to rest on the sofa which we needed it to. Please pay attention to that.

Really didn’t like there was a shared pool and it wasn’t even that big but overall it was a decent stay.

Need extra towels and received them in under 10 minutes. Staff was very friendly. My family loved our stay.
