Dumbleton Hall Hotel

Gorgeous location, and gorgeous hotel. Mostly, staff were welcoming and helpful. Lots of history. Only stayed one night so didn’t have too much time to explore area, try evening meal etc. I was advised that the hotel has recently been bought out and due refurbishment - there probably are some improvements that could be made, but please don’t loose the character of the place or make it too Americanised

What a lovely hotel! Greeted upon arrival by a very friendly member of staff. The room was comfortable and a good size, plenty of hot water, which sometimes can be a problem in big hotels. The restaurant was airy and menu had taken dietary requirements into consideration, again unusual for big hotels. We had a lovely time and would recommend to anyone wanting a relaxed few days away.

A 2 night, getaway break. The hotel was lovely. Staff were friendly and professional. The food, both evening meal and breakfast were excellent. We were concerned that our stay could be impacted by the wedding also happening at the hotel but at no time did we feel any less of a valued guest and it had no impact on us at all. We very much enjoyed our stay. One note, the hotel is quite remote and the local village is very small. If you are after a quiet break, or are willing to travel away from the hotel, or want to walk the local country side this is an excellent choice.

Not a huge selection on the food front but what was offered was very good. Room was adequate but the value was a little overrated! Staff were excellent.

Our long awaited relaxing weekend break certainly did not disappoint. We look forward to cooking again soon.

We enjoyed our stay. Food was very good and the whole place was clean. Lovely grounds and lovely places to visit close by. Everyone was very helpfull.

Excellent stay and will visit again. Very dog-friendly and the staff go out of their way to accommodate requests. An absolutely incredible building and grounds. A real gem.

The location and grounds of the hotel are amazing. The receptionist on arrival was very welcoming, but for the remainder of the stay we were ignored when we walked through the reception area. Staff members were not able to answer questions about the pictures in the bar and lounge areas. The bed in the honeymoon suit was too soft so both of us woke up with aches and pains. There was no hand wash in the bathroom of the room, and given the price of the room I would expect this as a basic toiletry. The food was well presented but basic. There were random pieces of furniture stored at the top of the stairway which gave the impression that the hotel was uncared for and disorganised. We booked the hotel as it had customer rating of 8.6 'fabulous' on the website however we were disappointed with the stay. High quality customer service is a basic expectation and we did not receive it.
