Dumbleton Hall Hotel

Beautiful house and location. The grounds are to die for. Staff very friendly and helpful. On the downside, the menu is a tad 1980s and could do with updating. Food quality OK. The bathrooms have a noisy fan, so when next door used their bathroom is was noisy while the extractor was whirring. Overall, enjoyed it.

This place is amazing. Location is good, hotel is fabulous ad simply stunning as are the grounds and staff friendly. You will not be disappointed. Lovely sun terrace and some good local food options too if you want to venture out. Traveller note - although a couple, I booked one of the family rooms as it has a king size bed, lots of space and a bath. These rooms are impressive and well worth the extra IMO. Now for the only niggle, on arrival we were 'downgraded' with no prior warning to a small room with no kingsize, no bath etc. We were told we couldnt have the booked room for a number of reasons, none of which turned out to be correct. The manager kindly resolved in the end and we went into the original room. On reflection I'm sure the hotel was trying their best to accommodate a family already staying there with small children which I support but there's a better way of dealing with such a situation.

First man we saw on reception I thought was a little frosty/unwelcoming then later he seemed to warm up a bit. Barman liked the word Yep if you asked him anything but again he got better with time. Ladies at breakfast were very nice and friendly - very good service. Hotel as a whole was good and great value. The best thing is that it’s dog friendly 🐶

The hotel rooms and general ambience were good however, the catering is in need of a little tlc.

We had a wonderful time. The hall was beautiful. Breakfast and dinner were amazing. The fragrance of the gardens was my absolute favorite!

Very Happy with our stay. Unfortunately there was no heating in our bedroom due to ongoing updating the staff gave us an electric fire but was not strong enough for large room, manager compensated by making an allowance on final bill.

Beautiful doesn’t describe accurately how the property actually looks. The place has tremendous old world charm with modern and comfy rooms. The food was excellent. The scenery around the house is like something out of a Jane Eyre novel.

Fantastic place. Service first class. Superior room was very nice with lots of space and great views over the gardens. Lovely surroundings to go for a walk in. Food provided at dinner and breakfast was also very good.
