My second trip to Ladakh. First one had to be aborted due to my inability to acclimatize. So it was with a great degree of insecurity that I arrived with my family in Leh. The hotel team immediately us feel so at home. They gave us small pouches of camphor to sniff as it increases your ability to absorb O2. The lobby is large and has many nooks to get comfy in. We sipped on fruit tea. They did not encourage us to go out on the first day, made us wonderful garlic soup which is again something to have in Leh. It prevents the heavy head feeling. We were encouraged to have warm liquids like non milk tea, warm water etc. On the 2nd day, two of us had a terrible headache and were nauseous. The restaurant had a wonderful spread and we could eat nothing. In the evening, Danish swung by to say hello and checked my oxygen level which had fallen quite low. He immediately organised oxygen in the restaurant and called a doctor. I had to take an injection to continue the journey. But their concern, immediate action and warmth was beyond regular hospitality. The next day I could enjoy my gorgeous room, the breakfast and dinner spread and the fantastic views from the room. The hotel is very well maintained and spotlessly clean. Great location too. The curio shop is really good and the 2 gents there super helpful. We could get some lovely silver jewelry. The team Jigmat at the front desk, from the restaurant i found everyone so welcoming and always careful to observe if we were well and suggesting what to eat. Tara, Puri, Somnath, Vinod and the Chef and Danish are some people/names i recall. Thank you Grand Dragon for your amazing hospitality and truly going above and beyond. Some Tips- on the first day at the hotel, don't be tempted by the high tea spread or dinner buffet. Go really light and have more liquid. Garlic soup is a must. keep the air conditioning on at night though you may be tempted to switch it off. it regulates the air in the room. If you dont have the a/c on, you may wake up with a heavy head. Ask the chef for Wazwani cuisine. it's really good and as is their Thukpa

Very good hotel. Good food. Staff is very good, helping and cooperative. Housekeeping was excellent. Nothing I can complain about.

Excellent rooms, which even include humidifier (needed due to dry air in Leh). Delicious, creative menu items every day from Chef Deshraj. Thoughtful and pro-active attention at meals from all staff, but especially Mr. Gagan, Mr. Husain, and Mr. Shamsher deserve a special mention. Ms. Tsering at the check-in desk helped us with complicated room reshuffles and bookings after a family member had to return early from a road trip due to altitude sickness. All other staff at the check-in desk were also very friendly and helpful, but regrettably I don't know their names. People taking care of laundry, in-room dining, room cleaning, and moving luggage were also very professional and helpful. The only suggestion I have for the hotel is to please water the potted small trees on the stairway landings more frequently. They seemed to be drying up. I gave them some water.

Grand Dragon is a very lovely Hotel with excellent amenities. All the Staff and service are timely and par excellence. Food was excellent. Ayush provided excellent service.

Excellent location - nested in the picturesque Leh valley. The hotel is luxurious and comforting. The hotel staff is caring and warm. Chef Desraj and his well trained team at the restaurant took personal care to see that we were well looked after. Tenzin in the front office was also very receptive to immediate feedback.

It's amazing experience, hospitality with elegance, everything is beyond perfect the food, the room, the service and amazing hospitality at the place like Ladak. Every single person from top to bottom are so polite and happy to serve you and wish and try for ur well-being. Do visit once in a lifetime.💖

Staying at the Grand Dragon in Leh was the best decision we could have made! Perfectly located, with exceptional service every single staff member was kind, generous, and went out of their way to make our stay wonderful. The rooms were spacious and luxurious, the bathrooms spotless, and everything from the air conditioning to the showers worked perfectly. Highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Leh in this range. Thank you, Grand Dragon we’ll definitely be back!

This is a hotel I highly recommend. The service is very friendly and I spent an unforgettable birthday here. The buffet meals in the restaurant are good and it is very convenient to the city. The head chef (Deshroy) is also very friendly.
