Grand Hotel Moon Valley

Would not recommend this hotel - especially if mobility issues, it is located on the main road between Naples - Sorrento, traffic day and night, (sirens, vespa), the food was awful, not much choice, breakfast not many choices either, very basic, Staff rude, waited nearly 40 mins to be served, (as waiter/waiteress service) made a complaint - nothing, when meal came was almost cold, drinks expensive, nice little bar down the road & restuarant, although this road is dangerous trying to get across. Cortesy mini bus to Sorrento at 10.00am back at 3pm -( no other options), Entertainment very basic, same person sings same songs every night, unless there is any celebrations going on from outside people who this hotel caters for. Good points - the pool is lovely, although at the weekend need to get there early as hotel puts towels out for incomming people from outside, which we thought was not good. Would i go back - Never.

Wir waren rundum zufrieden, sehr freundliches und hilfsbereites Personal, sauber, toller Blick, gute Lage mit Zug Station in der Nähe, schöner großer Pool + Aussenanlage, gutes Abendessen, (Frühstück war ok). Leider ist es umgeben von lauten strassen, besonders die wespas und Motorräder nerven aber so ist das fast überall in der Gegend.

Clean, Italian, food was ok, staff lovely, Italian, rooms were ok, location was good. I enjoyed my stay. Remember you are in Italy and it was amazing to experience the culture, food and everything Italian. If you choose to be miserable on your holiday you will find the negatives in everything. If you want luxury and perfection pay more and not stay somewhere that is reasonably priced. If you look for the positive you will find it and have a lovely time. If you look for the negatives you will find them and spend your holiday complaining.

So, before staying here I looked at the reviews and had a lot of conversations with myself and others about the food reviews. Could not be that bad, it’s Italy for goodness sake! The food was so bad it actually became impressive. One night the meat option was so salty I literally just ate a plate of broccoli and some bread. To be fair I would still stay again though! Honestly, The location was fantastic, five minute walk to the train station and the hotel was spotless! The staff were very nice and the drinks were reasonably priced. There are a couple of really nice restaurants nearby and a deli just down the hill that was amazing! If you have booked half board though you will need to rethink your budget a bit because you will still need to eat out for dinner to survive.

First impressions good clean hotel. Out Room was over the pool we thought lovely. Until night came loud music from private events was a nightmare complained nothing done. If you want sleep not the hotel for you. Breakfast was ok but evening meal not good. Train station 10 minutes which is ok goi g down the hill but back up is a struggle.would not go to this hotel again

This is the third time we have stayed at moon valley as we use it as a base to explore .The train station is a ten minute walk and we had no problems using them .The hotel is very clean and our room was cleaned daily .You cannot fault the pool area although at weekends the locals get special treatment as the pool man puts towels on beds early in the morning for them which seems a bit unfair if you are a paying quest .The food is just ok but there is a pizza place and a lovely little deli and supermarket five minutes away
