"Ok but not great"

6.0

Overall the hotel is ok, the rooms are a little on the small side, breakfast is a bit of a shambles and the location means subway is essential in quite a rough neighbourhood so unless you want to pay large taxi fares, you can't stay out too late. But it is reasonably priced, clean and fairly comfortable so if your just planning on using it for somewhere to rest your head at night, it's not a bad choice

"can't beat it"

8.0

I was pleasantly surprised. the hotel was very clean and well maintained. Room was very nice, a little smaller then in the Midwest, but comfortable. Everything worked, staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was also better then most. 2 Blocks from subway( take the F to and from Manhattan)10 - 15 minutes. neighborhood was ok for me, may make some people uncomfortable, but I felt safe. Unbeatable for the price

"Great NYC Base"

10.0

I found this hotel to be an excellent base for visiting NYC, The room was well appointed and came with all the facilities I needed for my stay in NYC. The self service breakfast was most welcome, and saved having to go and find somewhere to eat first thing. Ignore all the negative reviews, this is a good hotel in a reasonably quiet part of a busy city. I would definitely recommend this hotel to friends and will more than likely stay there again should I return to NYC (am already looking).

"Nice but..."

4.0

Don't bring a car, parking is nonexistent. There's minimum parking for $25 per night. Huh? No spaces on city streets for your car without stressing over moving every 2 hrs from one side of street to the other. I got a $60 ticket for being in the wrong spot. Near trains and buses but watch your back...I grew up in this area. Last of all, better TV reception is needed in the rooms.

"Overall very good hotel"

10.0

I would definitely recommend this hotel. Pros - clean room with free WiFi, nice hot free breakfast (I had scrambled eggs, choice of bagels, toast bread and donuts). Very close to the subway (one block ) Cons - neighborhood doesn't look very nice. Not sure, but seems like parking is very limited - call them before going by car.

"This is a gem"

10.0

"We spent two nights there and loved it. The staff is very helpful and friendly and the room was cozy, clean and very quiet. The breakfast was fantastic and had plenty of items. The subway is just two short blocks away! Sweet. That means your are in Manhattan in 15 minutes. Take the F train the other direction and you are only one stop away from a string of fantastic Indian restaurants. Great food and lots of fun things to see. That area is called Jackson Heights I give the Sleep Inn stars A++++. We WILL be back!

"Served my travel purposes"

6.0

I had an interview in the Upper East Side and needed an affordable hotel. Conveniently located a few blocks from a subway station. Room was comfortable and clean. Hotel arranged taxi service for me. Parking garage underneath the building had limited spots (maybe 20) and cost $25/night. I had no trouble securing a parking spot. I would stay here again.
