La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Woodward

PREFACE - They were under construction when I was there. The room was AMAZING, beautiful, clean large and very well looked after. The hotel staff, in particular Courtney, were excellent and friendly as possible. This will be a 5STAR once the construction is done. That said, the rooms and common areas (including the very large uncluttered breakfast area) that were open were clean and very very well maintained. Highly recommended and once the pool and halls are down it will be beautiful.

Was unaware of construction that the facility was undergoing. Booked hotel for the pool and breakfast which were both out of service due to remodel. No access to ice at all or vending machines. The side access door had to remain propped open because the key pad doesn’t work. Mattresses were sub par. No extra linen or pillows available for hidabed in sofa

The front desk gal was apologetic but this was out of her hands. The internet worked and the bed was clean. I slept. Landscape riddled with trash and cigarette butts. It was sort of like an abandoned job site. No amenities were open - pool, no breakfast, very little furniture in the lobby, fitness room. Drywall stacked in the hall, mattress thrown outside. They should just close until they can sort this out.

It took almost an hour to check in to this hotel. There were issues with payment from Expedia. I have never experienced an issues before. Not sure who was at fault.

If you're doing some research looking to find a hotel in Woodward the many horrible reviews speak for themselves. I should have know better. We came into Woodward on Christmas with pet after making and confirming a hotel reservation a week beforehand. I came into to check in about 8pm on Dec 25th only to find out that the hotel had a water main break and they were not operational. According to the front desk attendant this happened two day prior to our arrival. When I showed the hotel was unable to honor our reservation due to this emergency. I was very upset that I had traveled 5 hours with pets and no on communicated with me. Being they are in the hospitality business I don't understand why I didn't receive a phone call of the situation so that I could make other plan, but instead I showed up late in the evening with two pets and no where to go. The front desk attendant was kind but very clueless. I assumed he was new an thrown into the situation. He did contact the General Manager who was J. Gomez and spoke with her. Unfortunately he had it on speaker phone and I got to experience he lack of empathy or care for the situation. I have filed a case with cooperate but just like the night I was there they management is not responsive and does not care. This is absolutely unacceptable for them to treat a customer like this. Their lack of communication created a huge issue for me on Christmas that could have been prevented by some simple business ethics and common courtesy.

Hotels.com allowed a booking to a hotel that had flooded and was closed for remodel. On arrival I learned the hotel was closed and had been for weeks. I hold hotels.com responsible and want my free night stamp back along with the taxes I paid.

We would not stay here again. There are other options.The room was clean and it was quiet during the night. The bed was not very comfortable. Since we were not familiar with the area it was not easy to find a place for breakfast.

Website says free breakfast but the did not have breakfast. Hotel was under reconstruction after burst pipes destroyed part of the property. Beware of discounted pirate without knowing WHY it is discounted. There was a huge pile of discarded mattresses as the view out of our room window.

Beds were comfy. The hotel was under renovation so there were dirty areas and no breakfast service. The price did reflect that however and the front desk clerks were very friendly.

The woman at the front desk, doesn't know how to access the reservations, and no showed my client, leaving them traveling all night, and the unable to get a room. The booking agent was attempting to contact her, and she was hanging up the phone on the booking agent. She was racist, She made a mention that she wouldnt help Black, or Mexican americans. There is no way this woman should keep her job.
