Whispering Palms Beach Resort

Excellent stay. Extremely warm and cooperative staff. Special mention for Avtar for his hospitality. My pet was at ease and comfortable throughout. This place is highly recommended!

Very nice hotel, very close to the beach. Good facilities such as pool and gym. Would be good if gym could be opened earlier than 7.30! Housekeeping everyday and fresh towels etc. staff are kind and attentive. Only negative is the timekeeping - breakfast starts at 7.30, but in reality, the staff don't start setting up their cooking stations until gone 8am. That's fine, but not if you're planning on breakfast at the start time to head off for a day trip etc. breakfast is decent variety of good mix of Indian foods and continental choices. Beach is 5 mins walk away and very clean, fantastic 7km strip of pure sand.

Nice ambiance and very near to beach

Just got back from 11 nights at this hotel. It was a bit smaller than we'd expected but tbh this added to it's charm and gave a more intimate feel than some other hotels we've been to. The staff were all really friendly and helpful, Lucky at the pool bar was always available to help with anything. Our room was nice and big and we had a cute private garden, though the bed wasnt the most comfortable on my side. The shower was very powerful and the foot tap came in handy after walks on the beach which is about a 3 minute walk away. Not the best beach I've ever been to, it was quite narrow, but we arent really beachy people and didnt really spend much time there. We never had an issue getting beds by the pool (though we were there the last 2 weeks of the season, so I cant comment on whether this is harder at busier times, I dont know how full the hotel was). Food at the buffet was of good quality and very tasty, though we did get a bit bored of the options after a few days. There was a western style menu you could order from as well. There are loads of decent and cheap restaurants down the road though so we ate out most evenings. As a result we didnt really see the evening entertainment but what we did see was fairly average karoake style singers. There was a steak and seafood night every Tuesday which we didnt go to but it seemed popular. We also used the spa while we were there for a couples massage. On first impressions it seems a bit basic and doesnt have the usual welcoming ambience you expect from a spa but once we were in the private room it was fine and a nice experience. I would recommend this hotel to others.
