Great location, 2 minutes from room to lifts. On premise dining choices quite limited and rather expensive. When booking, suggest you book meal inclusive packages.

The room type I booked is one of the cheapest room type which cost around JPY 20,000 per night. The flat sheet, pillow case and quilt cover are clean but the stains on the carpet are very visible. But of course the good thing about staying at Naeba Prince Hotel is the convenience of getting to the ski slopes and free shuttle to and from Echigo-Yuzawa station which make the who ski trip much less hassle. For sure I will stay here again, for the convenience, easy to get to and affordable hotel cost.

The hotel is a bit dated, but the location is unbeatable if you are skiing at Naeba as you can walk out the hotel lobby and get in the gondola within 1 minute. And the restaurant choices are very wide.

"Just okay"

The room was small and the beds were hard single beds not doubles. I’m used to plush memory foam so it was too hard for me. The temperature in the room wasn’t adjustable even though they had directions on how to adjust it, it didn’t work. I tried calling the front and housekeeping, with no answer since it was past 8:00. The hot springs on site was disappointing. With a resort that big they should have more than one hot spring. They only had two and one only had one bath inside. The other two. They don’t have variety. And the restaurant options being varied was nice, however, it was so overpriced! On average spent 5000¥ per person for dinner. Overall it was okay. However, will try a different snow resort next year.

"Good for ski vacation"

It’s a nice place for ski vacation. The hotel staff are friendly and great facility for ski-in ski-out. Variety food choice but better to have reservation, otherwise, you may line up for a long while.
