The Derby Hotel

The staff were very friendly. The rooms werecomfy and clean. The breakfast was lovely. Will definately go back again.

Handy position for trams, low noise because of its unique location. Hosts that really care about their guests and are a fountain of friendly knowledge if you’re new to Blackpool. Very, very clean for a low budget hotel. No ripped wallpaper, chipped paint etc. and nice linen sheets, which was a nice surprise. Proprietors always near at hand to attend to individual needs.

Quirky decor may not be to everyone’s taste, but in Blackpool I think everything’s quirky unless you stay in an oak- panelled, silver service grand hotel like The Metropole.

Received text alerts the day of arrival informing us that our room was ready. On arrival we received a very warm welcome and local information. Bed was really comfortable and breakfast was exceptional. Both Ivan and Tim are amazing hosts, nothing is too much trouble and loved our chatter in the bar in the evening. We can see why guests return each year.

The proprietors are very friendly. Nothing was too much trouble. We had everything we needed in our room. Initially we had booked a double room with shared bathroom but we were upgraded to room 9, which was an en suite. The bed was very comfortable & the bedding was really nice. Breakfast was excellent with plenty of choice & freshly cooked. To achieve this level of service, guests are required to complete a form with an indication of their choice of breakfast on the evening before. It was well worth it!

We didn't dislike anything but would have liked breakfast to go up to 9.30 rather than 9am.

Staff went above and beyond to support my comfort and needs during my stay, especially with an issue i had with my luggage. The owner was even so kind as to gift us with something my daughter had said she liked. Above and beyond.

The hotel was clean and comfortable, good food, lots of choices at breakfast and was made to feel very welcome by Ivan and Tim.
