Fairfield Inn and Suites by Marriott Portsmouth Exeter

Location was nice and quiet. Hotel looked like they were remodeling since a lot of their parking were taken by construction container but manager was supper nice and told us were to park. Our room was the family suite for 5, we had a sofa bed with 2 queen beds, Room, bathroom, clean and spacious. We asked for extra blankets since my older son was going to sleep in the bed sofa but 2 out of the 5 blankets had stain, we did not made a big deal since we were exhausted from the beach and we checked in at 11pm. Breakfast was great. And if any one wonders yes my family and I agree if we go up to NH and Maine again we will stay in the same hotel again. We will just ask to please make sure the extra blankets are all clean.

Roaches! Parking issues! Cooling issues! Dumpy rooms. So many problem.

I have stayed at the Fairfield Inn and Suites and have enjoyed it every time I have visited Exeter. We have been very pleased with the friendliness of the staff, the cleanliness and the proximity to quite a few great restaurants and attractions. (It is only 15 minutes from the beach)! The hot breakfast selection was also very good. The only downside was that the business center was temporarily not available due to renovations this trip. It is a good hotel at an affordable price and well with the money. Overall, it would be my first choice if I needed a hotel in the area.

We found this Fairfield to be way below par and will avoid it in the future. The bed was located only a few feet from the climate control system, which was a wall unit located under the window next to the bed. The problem was that the output blew directly at our heads and there was no way to adjust it. Blocking part of the output caused the unit to covert from blowing cold air to putting out heat. The only solution was to turn off the system. The swimming pool room was dark and cold, and the small exercise room was missing key sets of dumbbells. When I mentioned it to the staff and manager, their response was that they already knew that. They blamed it on the ongoing renovation (not sure what that had to do with the lighting and temperature in the swimming-pool room and that missing dumbbells), the noise from which woke us up at 6 a.m. Although inside construction work had not started at that time, someone was wheeling material into the building using a noisy cart. If you want to avoid that noise, ask for a room on the back side of the hotel. The only bright spot was the lady who worked the breakfast room. She was friendly and kept the bacon well stocked. The manager, Angelica Bueno, said she would refund us some points for our bad experience, but she never did.

We were impressed when we checked in. The clerk made a mistake, and most apologetic and quick to correct it. It set a good tone for our two nights there. A good facility

There was construction going on in the rooms surrounding ours. ( we were not aware so that wasn’t great ) and our room was in need of updating! Pretty shabby. Poorly patched tiles in the bathroom, old phone hanging on the walls! Also , the indoor pool was nasty green. We paid well over $300 per night. Not at all worth it.

Construction going on, so hard to rate. Parking was a total wreck that night with no spaces to park. Front desk personnel ranged from professional to not so much.

Breakfast was good

Stayed 4 nights and had only 1day of service for towels coffee cleaning.had to go to the front desk daily to ask for dry towels and coffee packets for morning.
