Q Resort Rayong

Staff were very good all about. Room was good overall, just some TLC needed is all. Really good location for some quality sleep and down time.

Staffs were friendly and helpful. We had a good time saying and using the pool. Happy hour drinks were good, nice cocktails.

Great hotel. If you book the deluxe rooms, ask for rooms 110,111 or 112. The lower rooms have no sea view. Breakfast was fine. The gym is nice. I like it.

It is in a calm area, the hotel looks nice, quiet, the staff is polite and kind. The food was gooooooood! :) Plenty of choices of Asian and European breakfasts, always fresh, each day a bit different.

Bedroom was great, comfy bed, all the amenities were to standard.

Very dated location, everything seemed unloved and not to standard. Pool sun loungers were broken or tattered. The sun loungers on the beach were all falling apart as well as the umbrellas.

The pros : Great Staff, Centara Staff are always excellent. Room, big and spacious. Great bed Massive bathroom Great sea view Good breakfast in a cosy boutique layout. Pool is nice and deep enough. Perfect surroundings with excellent bars and places to eat that have this small soi feeling from the 70's. Feels very private Don't bother booking on line, even being a centara member with discount, the hotel will give you a much better rate than online. The cons : This is where things takes a dive. I am not sure it is the hotel manager fault by not having what it takes to maintain a 5 star hotel or then a massive budget cut from the centara group, but this hotel needs a serious fresh coat of paint. Everywhere you look feels like zero maintenance has taken place in a long long time. Wooden floors needs a complete revamp, oil or something. As it is, it's look broken, bent, done and dusted. The stairways ramp down the beach are rusted and very dirty. The hotel ground are not kept very clean. One look at the starbuck branch in the hotel grounds says it all. No staff to be seen, behind the counter it looks dirty and like left alone for months. Toilet does not even have soap. The beach bar is in such in a poor shape. The metallic pylons that support the terrace are all rusted down. Does not make anyone wanting to sit here. Also near the bar on the right, there is an open electric box which all broken out with live electric wires hanging out, badly taped with duct tape. Any child could touch this and fry. The same sort of thing in the west and that would be an immediate shut down order from the municipality. Then 100% of the beach chairs, umbrellas and bean bags are all torn appart and should have been replaced a long long time ago. Other than the reception, breakfast place and rooms it feels like an abandoned hotel from years back. Beach is ok, but could be cleaner. I know the plastic garbage comes from the sea, but the hotel should ensure that it is picked up daily. Same thing on the small road that surrounds the hotel as you walk back up to the hotel from the beach is all messed up by tons of garbage. The hotel manager if he was any good would make sure that portion around the hotel looks great instead of looking like a dumping site. About the beach, beware, it has some nasty sand flies. I got done proper. All in all we meant to stay longer, but only stayed the night in the end because of the down falls. We didn't fancy staying on the site of the new season of the walking dead set. IMO Centara must shut the place down for a week ot so, do the repairs, paint everything fresh, replace the beach chairs umbrellas, beach towels etc... Repair or replace the wooden floors and then reopen. Because the rest is fine and staff are tops. The location is super, nested in a very private area which by the way is no where near Rayong, but 1 hour drive further past Rayong which is good because Rayong sucks. Only feedback about the breakfast to the chef, is that please do not serve stale croissants and bread items. That is a big no no. Also it would be nice to have the choice to have an omelette and scrambled eggs vs just the sunny side up option. Having said all that, I will be more tham happy to return, but if the place has been renovated....but for now, best to give it a miss. It ain't a cheap place. Not worth it as it is.

Location very close to a lovely beach, near to a nice beach bar/restaurant. Quiet location but easy access to nearby amenities. Room prices was pretty good. The staff are very efficient, polite and and friendly. Shuttle bus alternative if you don’t wish to navigate the steps down to the swimming pool or beach area.

The hotel is quite dated and in need of some refurbishment, rooms are clean but things like furniture and bed linen have passed there sell by date. I think the beach restaurant that belongs to the hotel is a little overpriced, lovely setting but if it dropped the prices I’m sure more customers would stay in there rather than go next door where prices are lower.

Beautiful view from our room! Property has seen better days but loved our room at a very reasonable rate. The only thing was the gym which was poor and hardly any working machines. Pool was nice and staff are professional and accommodating. Except for gym l rate it 4 out of 5 stars
