The Black Pearl Beach Side Apartments

The Black Pearl is a great spot to base yourself on Rarotonga - excellently located within walking distance of good bars / restaurants and our favourite beach on the island Aroa Beach. The property is spotlessly clean and the room was a great size with all we needed for our stay. Comfy bed and the ceiling fan meant we could stay cool in the heat and relaxed! Best of all are the hosts Steve and Janelle - who are quick to make you feel welcome. Hope to stay with you again someday!

Stunning property which has everything you need for a perfect getaway. Across the road from a pristine beach, large pool, modern and airy rooms. Friendly hosts and a fantastic vibe that you get from a boutique resort. Our family iust loved it. Perfect for the kids and Mum & Dad

It was a very comfortable place to stay & it was just across the road from a nice beach. The cafe just up the road made delicious meals too

We only got to stay one night. But it was a very pleasant quiet place to stay. Loved there was a cafe & small shopping store right next door. The staff & owner were also friendly & helpful and Lilly the dog was very welcoming.

Only downside of the property was the closeness to the busy main road and the frequent back yard fires by the neighbors.

It is a small resort which is lovely and very relaxing.

Love the location of this property, just across the road from great snorkelling, shops next door and bus stops outside. Peaceful side of the island, will definitely be going back...

We really enjoyed our stay at Black Pearl, rooms are well equipped, great swimming pool and the eating guide compiled by Rangi is absolutely fantastic, and we had excellent dining experiences. Rooms are dated, so don't expect modern appliances or tv, however who needs all that when you're holidaying in the beautiful tropical paradise of Rarotonga.

Very friendly owner and staff made everything here run smoothly offering advice on car, scooter and bike hire; places to eat; local music and entertainment. Provided reef shoes and snorkelling masks for free. Enjoyed use of the pool too. Cross the road to a lagoon to enjoy snorkelling and sunsets.

Phenomenal customer service by booth Rangi and Twin. When A taxi was not available for a certain time I needed a transport, Twin volunteered to drive me complimentary.
