Movenpick sousse la villa is the best place to eat in sousse would highly recommend staying and eating here. We will definitely come back

This hotel is honestly worse than a budget hostel. How there are any good reviews i have no idea. It’s run down, dirty, all inclusive is a total scam. One beer one white wine one red and flat soft drinks from bottles that are sat in the sun. Eating options are literally beyond basic, super small main restaurant - pool snack bar is paninis or pizza.. spa has weirdly been shut during our trip but we literally picked this hotel to have massages every day. Seen a woman be sick in the pool, beach is nice but dirty. All furniture/sun beds are dirty. Just do your a favor and go elsewhere.

We had a fabulous holiday. The interconnecting room was perfect. I could write so much but I think what sums up my review is that this was the best hotel and we have already booked to return next year. The pool is beautiful and the salt water pool and the beach is stunning. My only recommendation is the terrace is beautiful to sit in the evening but more seats and tables are required for after dinner relaxing/drinks. We found all staff helpful and welcoming. We would like to mention and thank Wissem (pool bar) Karmel (pool waiter) Adem and Raslen (Pool) Rabi (Terrace bar) and Dhiya (restaurant waiter). They made us feel special nothing was too much trouble.

5 * this hotel is NOT There are things you expect Quality bed linen not at this hotel ( not even ironed ) Quality towels not at this hotel ( The pool towels are better and you will be lucky if they are big enough to go round you ) Bed made daily (quilt put back on top of bottom sheet, bottom sheet no even straightened been here 5 days no clean bedding yet,( shock yuck ) Hot water (tick for this one) Food same daily mainly Tunisian fare. You need to get up early if you want a sun bed as many are saved by the pool staff for Tunisian's staying at this hotel. The beach is beautiful but not clean . Outside the hotel (walking distance) there isn’t much to do a few shops and a supermarket and a coffee shop. No entertainment and limited seating for guests in the evening. Come on Movenpick this is a disgrace it has taken me 10 years to return to Tunisia and the lovely people that call it home. The only redeeming part of my trip is the staff they work very hard and are eager to please, they have been wonderful ( THANK YOU TO ALL STAFF) I probably won’t be returning to Tunisia again if this is how hotels are now run here Movenpick you should be ashamed to have your name above this hotel the entrance is stunning but that’s where it stops…….

Good hotel with beach right next to the resort. Room hotel - very good, always clean. 4 bars where drinks are served instantly. There are also 2 Restaurants and café, allinclusive guests can have a dinner in this places but menu for them is very minimalistic. Very nice personel, Every barman and waiter was very polite. Also on the beach there is a very good waiter named Walid - very good guy, he always asked about drinks and snacks. He was worked so hard for our whole stay! I really recommend this hotel to everyone who plans to stay at Sousse

This is a beautifully appointed hotel, the pools are warm & clean, and the standard of the rooms is okay. There are some great individual staff working super hard, Sabir & Adem round the pool making sure sun beds were available (although you need an early start to ensure you got one as there are not enough for all residents and weekends were fraught!) Ibrahim in the dining room was excellent and made sure we were well looked after. Our room had a sea view and a large balcony, air con worked well and the room was cleaned to a reasonable standard daily. Our ‘king size’ bed was actually two single beds & mattresses shoved together, they constantly moved apart which made for an uncomfortable night and despite requests this was never rectified. The Marine Spa is excellent & well worth a visit, reasonable prices and a genuinely 5 star experience. Sadly, the quality & variety of the food was lacking, and the standard of service generally across the hotel was below parr and definitely not 5 star. The Movenpick could learn some lessons from the Marriot, which is just up the road & I would highly recommend for its restaurant and service. Our whole experience was marred by the behaviour of a small group of aggressive young men who were harassing women in the swimming pool. This went on for days, while security staff did nothing to intervene, eventually the police were called by a mother of daughters that had been touched in the pool & she was physically threatened when she remonstrated with them. The family were offered money to make the complaint ‘go away’. The young men continued to make a nuisance of themselves throughout our stay. It was disappointing and scary to see the security staff laughing with these boys dismissing our complaints. We raised the matter with a hotel manager but no action was taken. I would definitely avoid the hotel if you are a solo female traveller, it was clear that the security staff were completely dismissive of the women’s complaints and I certainly was left under no illusion about the priority given to a ‘connected family’ rather than female safety. This was our first time in Tunisia, sadly we won’t be returning.
