Residence Inn by Marriott North Conway

Strong smell of bleach upon entering room and solution was not to move us to another room but to clean the kitchen floor, which apparently they use bleach to clean, with a dirty mop pad and spray some room freshener. Same guy who came to fix the smell also was very creepily spending too much time around pool straightening chairs and talking to himself while staring at my fiancé and kids. Front desk woman had no teeth (not being mean) and first impression was not want you want to have when checking in. Also wasn’t told renovations were ongoing and that our check-out on Sunday would be when they had a come pick up old furniture if you want it day. Not what I expect from a Marriott and they need to do way better. On the good side the women helping with breakfast were super nice and engaging especially the woman from Pittsburgh 😀

Hotel was clean with good service. The furniture was dated but the hotel is under renovations that will update and upgrade amenities with the fourth floor almost complete (they will then move to another floor). The location was great, it was quiet and a wonderful staff member named Norma Jean was able to get me a good rate. The complimentary breakfast was limited and the same every morning. Perhaps the renovations will include an upgrade in the breakfast options. There are other breakfast options in the area.

The room was near the stairway so it was rather noisy but the room itself was clean and spacious. The lighting was a bit strange and hard to find the right switch. The breakfast staff was lovely and very attentive.

Problem with my sign in for TV was immediately fixed by friendly maintenance man.

It was another perfect hotel experience. It's great that majority of the staff (Kristen, Judy, Shawn, Adele) are still there from our prior visits because they have always been consistently helpful, friendly, and keeping all the areas clean. Even though the hotel is being remodeled, it did not impact our stay (still quiet, clean). We are so thrilled they are currently going through a renovation, so this means things will most likely be an even better hotel stay when we return for our next vacation.

The staff at this Residence Inn consistently go above and beyond to ensure that you have everything you need and any assistance that you need. They are cheerful, engaging, and service oriented. We have stayed there several times and will go back again because of the staff there. At breakfast, the manager, Kristen R., is gracious and welcomes you. The atmosphere promoted by the breakfast staff make you feel welcome and cared for. They are engaging and definitely make the stay comfortable. We will stay here again and again!
