Absolutely gorgeous place to stay! There was a small mix up with booking the room, which the Manager was happy to rectify immediately. Thank you so much for your kindness!

The Lodge is a lovely old sandstone building with high ceilings and beautiful wooden floors, and a lovely garden out the back. The room was large and the bed very comfortable, although the lights in the room could have been brighter. Location was great… close to cafes/restaurants and shops.

Lighting very dull. Brighter lighting needed for the main room, lamps and bathroom (for applying the makeup).

It is tired.Being old , this place is showing it's age and is in need of well overdue facelift and reno!

It was great to have a separate space to stay for the 4 nights that we were in Hobart (we were in the Convict Cottage, not in the main lodge). The garden is charming, and having two places to be outside (upstairs and downstairs was handy) - although a second chair downstairs would have been good. ;)

It was a little strange that we didn't meet the hosts at all over the four days, nor saw any staff. Some minor additions to the kitchen in the cottage such as salt and pepper, a spatula for eggs, a second large dinner plate, possibly a small amount of cooking oil etc., would be handy. ;)

Location is good. Less than 12 minute walk to Elizabeth St Mall. The Lodge has been tastefully decorated in keeping with the era of the building. Facilities great. Staff very helpful and responsive.

Weather could have been warmer in Hobart:). Lodge very comfortable though.

Breakfast was lovely! The Chef was very friendly and helpful. The conservatory was a really nice place to hang out.

We had two big bags which made it difficult. Room was quite small. If you're a little mobility challenged this is not the place for you. Stairs no ramps and bathroom a challenge.
