Property was old and needed serious work, the outside needed to be absolutely disinfected, we didn't feel secure there as one of the doors didn't lock, the housekeeping was minimal with an old towel provided every 3 days, getting hold of the owner was a nightmare - the list goes on and I would not recommend

Location Location Location At the beach with great potential but…

Totally run down and unloved, broken beds and furniture, overflowing rubbish bins, dirty, poorly maintained! Not suitable for renting it out anymore :-(

✅ Private and basic - this is not a hotel or resort. ✅ Self-catered with kitchen. ✅ Large porch for relaxing. ✅ Beautiful mountain and garden views. ✅ Great online communication from host, although I never met or saw her during my stay. ✅ Airport pickup $25 (I arrived late at night, driver stopped at store for us to get food on the way and dropped me right outside the door of unit). ✅ Private bathroom. ✅ Beach access across road. ✅ Friendly resident cat 😺. ✅ Insect screens over all windows and door. ✅ Complimentary milk, tea/coffee. ✅ Short walk to Woo Akapuao - convenience store for snacks, beverages, or basic supplies. ✅ Short walk to Charlie's Bar & Restaurant. ✅ 30min walk along road to Muri Night Market.

❌ Needs some maintenance - toilet seat wobbly, sliding door stiff and hard to open and close fully, insect screen door had no lock or handles. ❌ Incorrect name on door at arrival. ❌ Lots of barking dogs and crowing roosters, welcome to the Cook Islands. 😅 ❌ Early morning fitness classes in Enua Manea Hall across road - loud music. ❌ No wifi. ❌ No complimentary drinking water. ❌ No aircon, however ceiling fans and open windows provided sufficient airflow. ❌ Rooms serviced after 3rd night of stay, I didn't mind this.

Not a 5 star resort.... but so comfortable, gardens wonderful, staff very caring. Homely. . Large interior's. As an older person, would choise Raina anytime......

The tea bags...

I loved everything about the 3 bed house on the beach.. sure it’s an old property but very comfortable and close to restaurants. There’s a convenience store next door. The snorkeling out the front is spectacular. I had the pleasure of meeting the wonderful June the matriarch of the family and Tanya was amazing supportive throughout our stay. Highly recommend if you want the place to yourself , no crowds and pure holiday bliss..

Just needs some small maintenance to make it perfect however the host Tanya was very accomodating and quick to respond

The last night we stayed here we were robbed, all our cash taken and there’s was no brake in and our doors were locked, someone with a key had come in while we were asleep and taken our money, we seen that this had happen to some others a few days after we had left so u don’t recommend people stay here,

Lovely area, convenience store close by which was amazing, and best burger cafe 5min walk away!
