Leonardo Inn Hotel Hamburg Airport

The hotel is located really close to the airport: a 10-minute walk or a 5-minute drive on a shuttle bus. Call the hotel to book the latter. The rooms are spacious and sound-proof - no outside noise is audible. Reception staff are polite and helpful. Beds are comfortable. Bathrooms are large and well-aired. Journey to Hamburg City Center by train (S-Bahn) from the airport is usually less than 30 minutes. No elevator in the hotel, but everything else compensates for it. Reasonably priced and truly comfortable, this is an almost perfect hotel for those wishing to stay near the airport and not too far from the city center.

Wonderful staff, 100 year old hotel, great location and delicious breakfast buffet. Also, has smoking rooms. No air conditioning, so keep that in mind when choosing the month. We were there in July. Big open windows were sufficient. Around the corner from the lake with cafes and tour boats. Public transportation a block away.

A hotel with no elevator and getting a room on the 2nd floor is unacceptable. we had to carry our bags, 4, alone, I have back issues, no help from the lady at the front desk, also the wifi did not work. I was so disappointed and pretty angry.

Our family made a trip to Hamburg to visit relatives in a nearby town. The location of the hotel made it easy to get to an from the airport. The location is so convenient, you can easily walk to the terminals in less than 10 minutes. The staff was so friendly and accommodating. They were especially helpful no matter who was on the desk. The hotel is modest, but very comfortable and clean. The breakfast selection was very extensive and gave plenty of variety to ensure every guest had tasty options. I would recommend this hotel to anyone and will certainly stay there again.

Nice hotel except for the psychedelic color of the carpet- which is irritating to see

This is an old building, but newly renovated inside. There is no elevator, so if you have bags, you have to carry them up the stairs. On the plus side, if you don't have bags, you can walk to/from the airport (10 mins) on a nice, green path behind the highway, never being exposed to the highway. When you are at the airport, you have to call the hotel from the information desk so they send you the shuttle. It comes very quickly. But again, you don't have to ride the shuttle, you can walk even with a roller bag.

Please stop putting singles beds as a double bed, believe me when you are coming from a overseas flight this ain't something that you want to rest, my wife and I can sleep at all, they sent me to the basement with heavy luggage with no elevator, nothing else to say.

Choose the hotel because it was so close to the airport, and i am a plane spotter. Very frustrated because absolutely no views in/out/ or on ground. That said, room was clean and comfortable so good for a one night stay.
