Leonardo Inn Hotel Hamburg Airport

Hotel does not have an elevator -- if you have children or luggage, keep that in mind. In addition the WIFI is horrible -- touch and go non-stop. The photos they use for the hotel seem to be outdated. The hotel was much older looking than we could have expected, but clean and fine enough. The bathtub was huge but the shower leaked all over the floor. Bed was comfy + curtains great. Parking was if you're were lucky, but neighborhoods close by. Food is a good walking distance away -- about 20-25 minutes there and back.

This was by far one of the worst hotels I've stayed in over the past 10-12 years. In serious need of a major renovation.

I only regret I was only able to stay one night at the Leonardo Inn Hotel. It set a new standard of cleanliness for me. Maybe they just finished refurnishing, but everything seemed to be brand spanking new, from the furniture, to the carpet, to all the fixtures in the bathroom. The staff were also incredibly accommodating and friendly. I had read in reviews that there would be some problem with not having an elevator, and with carrying suitcases up the stairs. I did not encounter this problem. My room was on the ground level, right next to the front desk and they brought my suitcase in for me anyway. They have airport shuttles departing every half hour and the whole operation seems oriented towards getting people to where they need to go. I just can't get over how clean this place is. Bravo!

The Hotel was nice except it had no elevator, very hard to carry the suitcases up the stairs. No restaurant had a long walk to find a place to eat and no Hotel restaurant. The room was clean and nice and we enjoyed the room itself. The staff was very nice and gave good information.

As an airport hotel, I found this place extremely disappointing. It had basically no amenities, a lacking breakfast for too high of a price, and a greyish looking room with poor lighting. There is no elevator, so if you just came off a flight, you'll have to carry your luggage up to the second or third floor. Oh, that's if you're greeted by the not-always-present receptionist first. Make sure you don't actually take a complimentary-looking coffee, because you'll get charged for it, even if you think no one is looking. After you're done walking up the spiral staircase, you'll find your room to be drab. (Where is the nicely lit hotel room that appears in the ad's picture?) Meh. I'm not sure if the hotel is poorly lit because it's not clean. I'm not sure, but all I can say that the room didn't feel completely clean. This hotel could use some better maintenance and staff support.

Very comfortable and convenient, but the breakfast was overpriced.
