Anantara Convento di Amalfi Grand Hotel

Just loved the location was close to downtown. Overall we loved the hotel and staff very clean excellent food and assistance.

Went to celebrate my husbands 65th birthday and it was an amazing experience! The location was perfection and our room was beautiful. The staff outdid themselves and the drinks at the bar were the best in Italy. The ladies at the desk were all attentive and friendly. They were also very helpful.

An Unforgettable Experience From the moment I arrived, I was enveloped in an atmosphere of unparalleled elegance and warmth. The hotel, beautifully situated in an old cloister, perfectly blends historic charm with modern luxury. The stunning chapel adds a serene and awe-inspiring touch, making the setting truly unique. Every detail from the meticulously restored architecture to the impeccable service speaks volumes about the dedication to excellence. My room, with its panoramic views, private balcony, and thoughtful amenities, provided a sanctuary of comfort and tranquility. The staff, attentive yet unobtrusive, anticipated every need, ensuring a stay that was both relaxing and enriching. Each resident even receives a private or dedicated tour, and the Guest Relations team is simply amazing. Dining was a journey in itself. Each meal and drink celebrated local flavors, prepared with artistry and passion. The ambiance of the dining areas, paired with breathtaking views, created an experience that felt both intimate and grand. What truly set this stay apart was the sense of being part of something extraordinary. It wasn't just a stay; it was a memory in the making, a story to tell, and a place I will hold dear in my heart an experience of love, excellence, and wonder unlike anything I’ve ever had before.

Honestly, I cannot think of a single thing I didn’t like. Every aspect of my stay from the rooms and dining to the staff and surroundings was exceptional. It truly felt flawless and exceeded all my expectations.

⭐️ (3 out of 5) – Beautiful Resort, Disappointing Experience We were supposed to receive a complimentary room upgrade through Amex Fine Hotels & Resorts, but at check-in were told, “We don’t do that,” and were given “a little balcony” instead. Once in the room, the door didn’t lock, and we waited nearly two hours for maintenance to fix it. My wife didn’t feel comfortable leaving until it was repaired. The hotel offered only an apology — no gesture to make things right. The rest of our stay was nice — the staff was excellent, breakfast was great (try the French toast), and drinks like the Golden Negroni (32 €) were beautifully made. However, our final night fell flat: no turn-down service and a 380 € dinner at the Thai restaurant that was the worst of our 16-day trip — bland, uninspired, and overpriced. We’ve eaten authentic Thai food in Thailand and even small-town Georgia has better flavor at a quarter of the price. The property is stunning and the staff kind, but management missed the mark. At this price point, the details and follow-through should match the view — they didn’t.

This is one special property. Perched atop the hillside above Amalfi, we had an amazing view of the bay and surrounding coast. The service is is exceptional. Two restaurant offerings onsite (we went to La Locanda twice it was so good- try the eggplant) We had an early check out and the hotel offered us boxes of sandwiches to go. We will return soon (we hope)
