convenient location, service is good and good size rooms

I never expected such a luxurious hotel in uganda.. To my surprise from the day of checkin to checkout never had any problem regarding the stay. I stayed there for a month and it almost felt like my home away home. People are very friendly and accepts any requests and try to help you out. Thankyou everyone from Africana team.

A modern and luxury hotel walking distance from the city centre. Rooms are spacious and nice, with fridge and safe and complimentary water, tea and coffee; the bathroom is new, comfortable and with everything including hair dryer. Only flaw, hard pillows. There is a gorgeous swimming pool where you can really swim till dark, there is a buffet restaurant serving typical local dishes, really tasty. The staff are kind. WiFi is excellent.

everything needs some updating. Wardrobe wouldn’t close, some plumbing in bathroom poorly repaired

A hotel that is a bit worn, but with reasonably central location (and close to a golf course for those enjoying a morning run like me). Great backyard area. Friendly and service minded staff made this stay enjoyable. Great breakfast and good dinner selection. Good and included WiFi that also works well in the backyard - a great place to sit and work in the afternoon.

I have visited Kampala Uganda three times in two years and have stayed in three different hotels. Hotel Africana was my third hotel and it will be where I stay next time. The third hotel was the charm. A group of eight of us stayed seven days at Hotel Africana and was thoroughly pleased. We were greeted by friendly smiles, warm towels and delicious passion fruit juice which we drank every day. This hotel has it all. Full service restaurant, bar, gym, spa and pool. The staff goes above and beyond to assist guests. The food is very good and very reasonably priced. The hotel has all the amenities most Western and UK travelers desire. In particular, dependable A/C and Wifi along with some access to foods common to their taste. Every night there is either a live band or recorded music playing on the lawn. The hotel is host to various events every day. Weddings, political events, and high ranking government leaders grace the property.  While all of the staff was gracious, there are two staff members that made our trip most memorable and causes me to want to go back. Grace and Shakirah made our stay most memorable. Grace, the front desk manager, is fabulous. She is a jewel. She offered our group superb and personalized treatment. She help arrange a special birthday cake for one of our group members who was celebrating their birthday during our stay. We hired a bus to take us to Jinja for the day. After getting approximately 17 KM from the hotel, the bus broke down. I called Grace and told her our situation and her response was, "Don't worry someone will be there right away to get you." Thirty minutes later a van from the hotel was there to get us and return us to the hotel. When we arrived back at the hotel, Grace came out to the lobby to check on us. If you are looking for a nice place for any kind of stay, Hotel Africana is the place. 

We had a very great experience with our group in hotel Africa specially ms. Grace, Mr. Badru and others were very helpful and the hospitality provided by them was very excellent. We have stayed with the hotel 3-4 times before this and look forward to stay in the future

The pool area is beautiful! And the gym is perfect.

Wonderful inappropriate service

Great facility and well receipt by Shakira. Great team and I had a very good stay. I have used the same hotel since 2010 and I am always happy. Food is great and the pool is excellent. All are available including a great gym hall with new equipment.
