Hotel Africana

Very good location, many good restaurants around and shoping malls. Pool is nice and well maintained. Hotel is clean and offers a lot for the price.

Staying there for business purposes i did not noticed anything that would i not like

Large space with sofas and standing chair/table. The wifi was faster and reliable.

Most facilities are old. Door locks are facult. Had sleepless night with many mosiquito bikes. Windows are not screened allowing mosquitos into the room. The mosquito net leaves a big area for mosquitos to enter. Had a sleepless

We hosted a 1-day training workshop at the Hotel Africana. The staff were very helpful with the reservation and in setting up our presentation room. The sound system, used by our special guest, was perfect for our needs. We didn't use the air conditioning in the morning, and it was a little stifling, but in the afternoon the room was more comfortable. We also paid for the catered lunch which included a full meal...(I loved the curry goat) and the desserts looked nice, but I was too full! The coffee/tea service provided in our conference room was nicely displayed. We will definitely use Hotel Africana for our workshops in Kampala again.

I visited Africana again after 2 years and 10 Days What a pleasant welcome - just like a family member coming home Grace, Peace and Hajjrah from the Reception liaised with both Kenya Airways and customs authorities at Entebbe Airport for my Luggage that arrived late. They even sorted out my PCR test for flying out The level of cleanliness has gone upwards - Breakfast as good as it can get The Chef team and Serving Team of the Garden restaurant just can not to enough for the guests Very happy with everything during my one week stay

I had no warm water, other than that was a good stay.

The staff was friendly in the view was breathtaking.

It is not a hotel for $ 88. Please increase by 10-15 dollar and choose another hotel if you are visiting Kampala. I don’t want to be rude by giving details.( hygiene, food and noises are the mean issues).

I first went to the Africana in the early 2000s - and it was getting tired then. When I was booked in for a course in November 19, I wasnt looking forward to it. But money has been spent, the bedroom was excellent and there is no setting quite like it for sitting out for a drink at the end of the day. Well worth considering and way better in my experience than the Sheraton and co!
