Stuff is OK. Cleanliness of room is keeping clean ,therefore we can stay comfortable. But hotel is old. some facility (like door key , safety locker ) is difficult to use. Area is near walking street and songthaew is driving by hotel .you can use easily.

"Expensive but pretty nice."

8.0

Very close to the pier and to Walking Street. Next time I will get a cheaper room though, I don't think this is worth the extra $$$. Certainly not right for a single traveler

"Stay away"

4.0

Positive- good location in Pattaya, close to Walking Street, plus the room was cleaned to a high standard every day. However that's it, for the negative, problems with cockroaches in the room, plus the shower in the bathroom was plagued with small flies. The wifi in the room didn't work so had to go to the lobby where the connection was better. The swimming pool was dirty, full of dead flies and full of loud Russians, sitting by the pool until the small hours, playing loud music which the staff done nothing about. If you want to stay in a great location in Pattaya for a good price and intend spending minimal time in the hotel then I would recommend this hotel, otherwise stay well clear.

"Will not be coming back"

2.0

We have stayed at Camelot many times before but on this occasion we travelled overnight from regional Thailand and arrived a couple of hours before check in due to the schedule of buses. We asked if our room that was booked was vacant which it was and asked if we could check in early as we were tired from travelling. Their only response was to charge an extra full nights rate for a few hours of early check in and wouldn't even contemplate charging any less which we thought was reasonable as the room was already vacant so we left and went to our next destination on Koh Larn and checked in early there instead which they had no issue with. Forget customer service if you want to go to this hotel, it's not in their vocabulary.

"Not recommendable, bad and hostile attitude"

2.0

The hotel is located near to the walking street. The rooms are not small and in acceptable condition. There are a hand full tv channels, Chinese, Russian, French, Arab, Thai. English? well there is a bad church or bible channel and nothing else. CNN should be there too but it does not work! 3 times tried to fix, most of the time no signal. Unacceptable, given that there are many English speaking customers too. I stayed there with my girlfriend. At night, she got molested by the security guard who did not want to believe that she is no prostitute but hotel guest! The front desk watched it with no intervention whatsoever!! They actually try to get some extra money from guests who take a prostitute to their room. Upon checkout, they could not find one of the two coffee spoons! Lots of discussion, they dared to charge it to me, after I stayed a long time in this hotel and even extended my stay and certainly did not take that spoon. Greedy Chinese-Thai management, charging 50 Baht for a 5 Baht cheap spoon, totally not caring about the guest! Ignorants who obviously did not understand that a happy and always returning customer is so much more worth that 45 Baht stolen money! Thai style of non existing hospitality combined with Chinese style of Cheap-Charlie behaviour. Not worth to stay here, there are probably thousand hotels in Pattaya, keep away if you want nice holidays.

"Quiet hotel close to Walking Street"

6.0

My first visit to Pattaya so selection of a suitable hotel was a challenge. If you pick this hotel, beach access is about a 15 minute walk or quicker by motor bike taxi. It has a swimming pool if you don't like the beach with its narrow stretch of sand and hookers outside. What's good about the hotel: It's quiet but my room had no view (just a privacy boarding outside window). Other rooms would have better views. Huge reception area and good sized room. Big comfortable bed. Friendly reception staff. Room was clean. What's not good: Not a great fan of the breakfast as the eggs were always cold and so were many other selections such as the pancakes and French toast. Good if you were eating the salad selection as that was cold. Wifi was really poor in my room but that could be just my location. Concierge guy initially kept pushing me to go on a "factory tour" which is a euphemism for "overpriced products for captive audiences". Not a good practice. I would have preferred them to help me get to the beach or taxi to somewhere nice. In all, not disappointed with my hotel selection and would come back. Those wanting to be right near the beach or bars need pick another hotel. I found it better to walk everywhere as I experienced a variety of food and bar options. Walking Street is 10 minutes away and Go Go bars open at 8PM. Other bars open elsewhere by 11am at the latest. Like many hotels, transfers to local airport by private cars booked through the hotel are more expensive than booking outside (50% cheaper). Save even more by finding a tour booth that offers a minivan service. I have details if you need.
