We had an amazing stay at Uday Samudra Leisure Beach Hotel! Special thanks to the staff — they are incredibly polite, attentive, and welcoming, creating a truly wonderful atmosphere. The Ayurvedic area deserves a separate mention: professional therapists and a relaxing environment helped me fully recharge. The food was also excellent — everything was delicious and offered great variety. We will definitely be back

Uday Samudra Hotel 5* Kovalam Kerala 🙌🏼 Fabulous stay with beach access within 50 yards of the hotel. Wonderful open & covered reception area makes the first magical impressions a big WOW. Accommodation is very good and our room had a great outlook with direct access to one of the 3 pool areas. The two main pools are attended by pool staff who were on hand to set up your lounger and umbrella and adjust according to the sunshine throughout the day. They were most helpful especially “Ganesan P” who has worked here for 15 years & “Sajly”. Some room furnishings are a little dated and tired yet spacious and clean with a great shower and lovely big bed & essential AC. Hotel staff are very attentive, friendly and welcoming 🙏 The hotels main buffet dining area “Grasshopper” has 7 chefs “show cooking” & plenty of good choice for all meals and plenty of pleasant waiting staff who are on hand to attend to you. Filtered water is free and there is a good selection of drinks to choose from at competitive prices from the other eating and drinks areas. The rosé Shiraz wine at the À la carte restaurant was one of our favourites with ice cold “Kingfisher beer” flowing nicely too. Additionally, the coffee area serves snacks (pizza, spring rolls, onion rings etc) cooked to order with pricing being around £2- £4 per snack. The coffee is great and homemade still lemonade with a variety of choices refreshing at £1:50 each. Coffee prices are great too £1:50. The Ayur Ashram spa was amazing with “Dr Sanooj” & my lovely treatment lady “Usha” attending to my massages. A wonderful traditional experience and a must while you are here. The gift shop sells quality items and is worth a visit with a friendly staff member. Reception staff were able to assist with any questions and immediately rectified any issues that arose… Extra water for the room etc. Our best and favourite restaurant was the À la carte. Staff here are simply the best, led and managed by “Soumithra” who is very professional, knowledgeable, spoke immaculate English & went above and beyond to recommend excellent dishes all prepared bespoke by the excecutive chef “Rajesh Kumar” & his team. Beautiful food, international cuisine, aromatic, plentiful and decorative always served with a smile and politeness. Other À la carte staff who were delightful are Athira, Soumen, Suneesh, Babudhan ….. thank you for your services, they were very much appreciated. We were provided the most splendid & special anniversary meal during our stay attended by a lovely personal waiter “Blessings”, beautiful red carpet treatment, an elaborate table setting with sea view all inspired by the hotel manager “Mr Argit Kumar“ who is personable, professional, strives to keep guests happy & above all is visible around the hotel. He leads by example and we are most grateful for everything he and his staff/ team have done to make our stay memorable and special. We are most appreciative and highly recommend this hotel. “Namaste” 🙏 to you all.

A dream! I highly recommend this resort. Uday Samudra Leisure Beach in Kovalam is definitely a must-try destination if you're looking to visit India, especially Kerala, for the first time. You'll find a very friendly atmosphere, excellent food, and smiling people. As an Ayurvedic therapist, I return every year, and I can assure you that you'll have magnificent masseuses like my own, Usha. Above all, you'll be accompanied throughout your treatment by the highly competent doctor, Sanooji, who offers truly rare attention. Experience this; it's definitely worth it!

Beautiful location on beach. We enjoyed evening tea. Room was comfortable but bathroom needs to be upgraded. People are friendly and kind.
