Ranbanka Palace

Good: the staff is great service oriented. Breakfast was also good with enough items to select from. I do not understand how this is 5 star hotel and heritage. 1. Room smelled 2. Humid 3. Aged floor 4. Light bulbs not working in bathroom 5. No wash cloth in bathroom 6. Towels were little yellowed 7. They give you lock and key which does not make it heritage. 8. All rooms window faces hallways so if you keep drapes open then all those passes bu to get to their room will look in your room. 9. Sofa had stain on it.

The luxurious room.. the garden area .. swimming pool was clean.

Dirty bathrooms ,stains on bathroom tiles , fungus on the walls ..Workers everywhere , paint smell , drilling sound everywhere

Property doesn't have much amenities or facilities that can be enjoyed when there with family. There is only a swimming pool that too was under construction during my entire stay.

TV was not at convenient place. It should be in front of bed or sofa.

I liked the room (they upgraded us for free to the next tier) The restaurant (not breakfast buffet) was really good, consistently among the best food me or my friends ate in the city It's minutes away from the airport, and the old city isn't far away We ended up buying a lot from their in property handicrafts store, the sweet gentleman manning the sales counter contributing as much as their wares The pretty lighting at night Staff were generally very nice and helpful

My partner felt the room was a bit gloomy, maybe they could install brighter light options for those who don't prefer an all mood lighting vibe. Breakfast spread was ok - not wow I used the gym and the pool. But the shower area was in bad repair, and I had to shower in my room before and after. Gym could also use a refresh. Spa doesn't look like it's functional (not that I would use it anyway) All said, feel it's expensive for the facilities it offers. But maybe that's inflation in India for you - looking at you Nimmo Tai :(
