China Clipper Inn

We loved staying at this charming Victorian B&B! The decor is beautiful. Our room was well appointed and had everything we needed. Kristin, the innkeeper, was personable and accommodating, willing and able to please. Her breakfasts were delicious! We spent the afternoons and evenings sitting on the front porch watching neighbors walk their dogs. We felt like we were at home. A very nice home! We will return.

China Clipper … My wife and I have been repeat lodgers here several times over the most recent 2.5 years. The Inn Keeper, Kristin, is excellent, and she is a major reason for staying at The Clipper being an excellent experience. The rooms we’ve stayed in were very comfortable, good bed, bathroom fine, breakfasts outstanding, and such. The location is only about 2 blocks from the Main Street. So, parking the car and leaving it works beautifully for walking to the shops and restaurants. Coffee and tea are always available. Last year, we stayed at The Clipper with our son and his wife, and the 4 of us had a wonderful stay. My wish is the The China Clipper remain for many years to come a fine BnB.

My daughter and I loved staying at the China Clipper Inn! Kristin was very friendly. She made the best breakfast. The shops were in walking distance. Will definitely be coming back!

My wife and I had an amazing several day stay at the China Clipper Inn. It reminded us of a Bed and Breakfasts you see in the movies. The Inn Keeper, Kristen and son Rafe are amazing hosts. They do their best to ensure a great experience. The room was very nice and clean. The breakfast is incredible. You will not be disappointed. We are already wanting to plan a return trip.

Ok I do not usually do dad reviews but the high rating must be based on previous owners as more recent reviews have suggested and they are right. We now have absentee owners. The price is a rip off for what is provided ie nothing Seriously give this place a miss we booked on what we now know is a past reputation.

We enjoyed staying here. The hot tub was great, the breakfast was great, the bed was very comfortable and it’s close to everything.

Wonderfully maintained and spotless! Our room was spacious (Captian’s Quarters) and had everything we could hope for. Our hostess/innkeeper Kristin was delightful, personable, and genuine. The breakfasts Kristin created for us each morning were delicious! She helped make our 2 night stay perfect, and it felt like home…a really really nice home… Very relaxing, quiet and romantic. We’ve stayed here before, and are certain to return!

It is a grand Victorian building. With charm and elegance. The breakfasts were delicious. Kristen was warm and friendly and made you feel right at home.

This is one of the best kept secrets in Ouray for housing. Skip the big name hotels and stay in a quiet and unique environment with great friendly staff and a gourmet breakfast to cap it all off. Close to everything. For the last 18 years, I make it a point to stay here when I visit Ouray.
