Construction going on after hours. Right above us. Low water pressure. Poor room servicing.

It is ok. The hotel has been undergoing renovations for a more than a year now and it looks like it is nowhere complete. Its location is great and it is comfortable, but nothing that you will remember.

For what you pay for, it doesn't measure up.

I was very disappointed with our stay. The hotel looked nothing like the photos advertised online. Upon arrival, the property felt dated, unclean, and had a stale, musty odor throughout. Our room was not well-maintained. The sheets didn’t even fit the bed properly, which immediately gave the impression that cleanliness and attention to detail were lacking. When we turned on the heat, the smell coming from the air conditioning unit was awful and strongly resembled urine. To make matters worse, the entire building was undergoing construction, something guests should be informed of before booking. The elevator was also out of service for an entire day, creating a major inconvenience. The pool area was disappointing as well. There were fire ants around the pool, and I ended up with multiple bites on my feet. The one positive aspect of this hotel is its location, which was convenient and close to everything we needed. However, with other options available nearby, I would strongly recommend choosing one of those instead. Unfortunately, this stay did not live up to the price, the photos, or the expectations set by the listing.

Best location and staff. Rooms are large and they have bathtubs! Best coffee machine in lobby.

It’s currently under major renovations but we were well aware of this prior to our stay. Once it’s renovated it will be fabulous.

The location is right in the historic area and only a very short walk to the lighthouse.

I've been to this hotel five or six times over the last ten years and have always loved the location - within walking distance of the pier village, the pier and lighthouse, and the first few stays were great. We also love the balconies, which if you're on the 3rd floor, allows you to see the ocean.

During our last visit in the summer of 2025, I noticed that the room was quite dirty - mostly the floors. This time was much worse. They didn't seem to be prepared for our arrival (room 304). I had to go down to the front desk to get towels (there were only two hand towels and two washcloths in the bathroom). Then, I had to run back down to the desk to get the bathmat for the floor. Then had to run down again for the hair dryer - and the overnight attendant said I don't think they're giving those anymore. However, your own website still lists hairdryers as an included amenity. The showerhead was crusted over in black mildew/mold as if it hadn't been cleaned in years. Some of the bathroom ceiling tiles also had mildew/mold on them as well. When walking barefoot, the floor felt gritty; I dribbled a little water from our cooler on the floor; the paper towel I used to dry it ended up filthy. Additionally, the mattress cover is shot! So is the bottom sheet of the king bed - it wouldn't stay tucked on the mattress. Now, before anyone from the hotel counters with, "Well, we advised we're renovating." According to signs posted throughout the property, renovation was supposed to have ended May 31, 2026 (and your own website says through June 1, 20206) and our stay was from June 1-4, 2026. Furthermore, the rooms being renovated were on the other end of the hall and that area was being kept pretty clean. Renovation did not contribute to the state of room 304. The room floor and bathroom issues have obviously been building up longer than the expected renovation time period as they were filthy.
