Photographs were VERY misleading. Property is very poorly maintained, dirty and smelly. We should have left.

Great location to walk to the beach, pier, lighthouse, shops and dining. I wish we had been informed that the hotel was undergoing renovations. The staff was helpful and we had daily housekeeping (I requested it). The breakfast is just cereal, muffins, or waffles so we went out for breakfast, but they do have a great coffee machine that we used, as well as ice water and juice available. The beds were comfortable, and the room was a good value for the price. I did wish the hot water was a little hotter. We also enjoyed sitting by the pool, but didn't get in. I would book here again.

We visited here during February of 2026. Upon arrival, we were quickly disappointed for a few reasons. We love St. Simons Island and typically have stayed in the past at a rental condo. Since we are on our return trip to Ohio after visiting family in FL for 3 weeks, we chose to stay at Ocean Inn and Suites for the first time. We arrived and checked in. However, as typical for most hotels they did not have a luggage cart for transporting various pieces of luggage and bags to the rooms. This was an inconvenience as we had several different pieces. The hotel is currently under renovation so the lobby, halls, and some individual rooms were undergoing this process. The hotel felt very cold in the hallways as though the heat simply was not on. Even though we booked ahead of time, our room was quite chilly. Even in lesser hotels, they many times turn the heat to a comfortable level initially, but not in this case. Our room did look rather dated, and the curtains even had holes/perforations in them, thus explaining perhaps the renovations. The water pressure in the shower was enough to get the job done but lacked the amount to feel relaxed and satisfied after. The continental breakfast was very basic and we chose to go out for breakfast. Based on this I doubt we would stay again unless they discounted the room to meet expectations and its current state.

They did not inform they were doing renovations until after booked. Very dirty. Had bug crawling on our bed. Left at 8 pm the night we checked in.

Nothing . I was not satisfy

Asked for room facing lighthouse. Paid extra for view. Was told I would have one. Lied. Only way I could see the lighthouse was outside on the balcony. Was NOT told 1/2 of the rooms were unavailable due to renovations. Paid extra for non existing view. A frequent visitor to St. Simon’s 4-5 times a year. Will NEVER stay here again.
