The Holiday Inn in Hammond was very nice. It was quiet and away from the main highway. There were plenty of shopping and food options if you needed anything. The staff was engaged and very friendly. The room was clean, and there was an on-site bar and restaurant if you wanted to eat or drink without leaving. I enjoyed my stay here and would stay at this hotel again if I return to the Hammond area in the future.

Roof work was very loud, distracting and frightening. Didn’t know if the roof was going to cave in or not. Some of the electrical outlets didn’t work for the iron and our cellphone charge.

I’m extremely disappointed with our recent stay at this Holiday Inn. Upon arrival, we encountered two employees openly smoking weed near the front corner of the building—not something you expect to see at a reputable hotel. Thankfully, the front desk clerk acted quickly and addressed the situation. Unfortunately, the problems didn’t end there. Our room had a noticeable ant infestation—ants were crawling near the beds and even in the bathroom. We also found someone else’s hair on a towel and discovered a cracked sink. These are basic cleanliness and maintenance issues that should never be overlooked. To top it all off, there was no breakfast available the next morning, which was frustrating and unexpected. It’s disappointing to see a brand like Holiday Inn slipping like this. This experience did not live up to the standards we’ve come to expect. I hope management takes this feedback seriously and makes improvements.

The location was good and the staff friendly.

Non-functioning outlets in the bedside lamps and no USB ports. Also noticeably dirty/stained curtains.
