Courtyard by Marriott Birmingham Trussville

I do not recommend this as a place to stay! Commode was filthy, tile cracked in the bathroom, drain was clogged in the shower, fridge froze my food, lobby carpet was not vacuumed, stains & burn marks and debris on the third floor hallway. Brought issues to the “ Guest Services Manage”, Carlton P. He has the worst people skills I have ever experienced. I have traveled the World. He was unable to resolve the issues and was not able to move me to a clean room. He checked…there was not one. Very disappointed in Marriott. Worst experience ever! Do not stay here!

The location

The person to long for check in when I already paid for the room 4 hours before getting there. The room and a sour smell to it. For the price the TV is outdated rust on the stand by the chair.

Don’t visit here. I called ahead of time and they told us it wouldn’t be a problem to check in early and made a note of it. Once my wife drove 4 hours and got there they said they couldn’t do it and they shouldn’t have said that. Poor management, poor service, and a rude attitude. Stay elsewhere. When we did finally check in the room was in poor shape.

Breakfast is not included and everything is very expensive, for example, a bottle of water $3.85, a slice of toast with avocado $11 and hot water for tea $7, multiple families complaining about not having breakfast.

Room was super out of date with dated TV’s, mini fridges, and microwaves. Cracks in tub and tile in the bathroom, room had a musty and mildew odor. Front desk attendant was rude when I asked if I could get a first floor room due to a member of my party with mobility issues and then seemed very bothered that I asked for a second room key when I only received one initially.
