Anyavee Tubkaek Beach Resort

We had a large room with a terrace and a great view of the bay. Lovely beach location, tranquil, with very limited boat traffic. We booked an early longtail boat to Hong Island directly from the captain (Oh, see pic) on the beach. It's only 20 minutes away so you can beat the boats coming from more distant locations. Breakfast was great. Sunset happy hour at the beachfront bar was too, and the food there was good also. Pool was large and clean. Staff were consistently friendly and helpful. Highly recommended.

Absolutely lovely hotel. Beautifully landscaped gardens throughout the hotel with birds, fountains and flowers. The hotel grounds felt like a botanical garden. Absolutely stunning views of the neighboring islands. The resort shares the same view as the Ritz Carlton just up the beach, but for less than 10% of the price. To be fair, the hotel could use some TLC and some upkeep to the rooms and surrounding buildings. But we absolutely loved it. Highly recommend this hotel.

Beautiful, quiet beachfront location. Lovely swimming pool. Our room was large and the bed very comfortable, with a view of the sea. Staff was helpful and friendly. Great breakfast with lots of choice. Happy hour at the beach bar at sunset was great. It was easy to arrange a long tail boat, booked directly from the captain on the beach, to pick us up in the morning and take us out to Hong Island, just a 20 minute ride. Which offers all the beauty of Phi Phi Le with half the crowds.

Das Frühstück ist fantastisch und die Aussicht auf die Bucht vom Frühstückssaal aus auch. Das Hotel ist ruhig und etwas abgelegen gelegen, dafür am wunderschönen Tubkaek Beach.

Die Sichtschutzrollos an den Fenstern waren kaputt, man konnte sie nicht mehr hochziehen. So war das Zimmer nur ein dunkles Loch, was etwas schade war, die Anlage mit der schönen Gartenbepflanzung wäre sehr schön. Ich hatte ein Superior-Zimmer gleich oben am Parkplatz. Um sechs Uhr morgens ging das Putzen und die Anlieferungen los, an ausschlafen war nicht zu denken...

Shockingly low quality. This is not a 4 star hotel. The exterior seems nice, and the staff shared a kind greeting. However, as soon as we entered the room (736), the niceness disappeared: -We are greeted with the lowest quality amenities I have ever encountered in a highly rated, "4 star" hotel. Poor soaps, shampoo, no dedicated conditioner, a blow dryer that is 20 years old, slippers that are so thin and fall apart at the first use. The towels feel like paper, rather than plush and comfortable (same with the bath robes). -The air conditioner has a hole in it -You feel the springs in the bed, and the pillows are hard foam. -The room itself has stains and peeling paint at every wall. -The couch seems old, dirty and 10+ years old. We were in a deluxe sea view room, and had many issues... Bee the manager upgraded us to another room, which was better. Such a subpar breakfast buffet. Low quality ingredients, and minimal options to chose from. The food was absolutely awful. 1/10 property. Overall, this property is so far from a 4 star, luxurious hotel; there are so many better options for the same price, and I am so disappointed with the value and services we received for the price I paid. Would not recommend this hotel to anyone- especially for the nightly rate !.

I usually avoid writing negative reviews, but I’m sharing this experience to help other travellers make an informed decision, because this property significantly affected my vacation for the worse: 1. Basic water refusal: When we asked for drinking water, they didn’t provide it, didn’t offer a paid option, and simply said “only 500 ml per person per day.” 2. No basic amenities: Not even tea bags in the room — something that even the cheapest hotels worldwide provide. When asked, we were told a straight “no”; tea is only available at breakfast. 3. Everything is chargeable: They charge for the tiniest things and make sure you read every printed rate, all while smiling artificially as if doing you a favour. 4. Poor room condition: The property relies solely on its location. The room had a mouldy smell, the structure felt extremely old, and maintenance is basically zero. 5. Unhelpful front desk: I accidentally left my key at the beach. Within 5 minutes it vanished, and when I asked for help, the staff showed no concern. Instead, the receptionist insisted I first read how much I needed to pay for a replacement before making a new key — while I was coming straight from the beach and urgently needed the room. 6. Worst on the beach: After visiting other nearby properties, the difference is shocking. Those hotels look welcoming and well-maintained, while this one feels genuinely like a zombie land in comparison. I’m writing this so future guests know what to expect — the location may be great, but the experience, service, and attitude are far from it.
