Anyavee Tubkaek Beach Resort

Horrible resort, terrible maintenance, bad smells, dangerous broken tiles around pool… But the worst was the bedbugs!! Which they denied having — oh and by the way they totally lost our prepaid reservation. It’s a badly managed resort. They screwed up many other people’s reservations not just ours. Avoid this place at all costs. There are much better resorts on either side of it.

What can I say! This place is amazing! I have been here three times. My most recent trip I brought a friend and when she got sick, they took care of her like she was family. They took her temperature, brought her medicine, and gave her a dark room to rest in while we waited to go to the airport later in the evening. The breakfast is excellent, and the views are unbelievable. They have a great selection in their restaurant for food. Another great thing is that you can hop on a long tail down on the beach and go to another many islands, or you can arrange a guided trip with the hotel themselves. This is a perfect place if you’re looking to unwind and relax and be away from the crowds and many tourists you’ll find closer to the city 10/10!

Anyavee Tubkaek Beach Resort was like spending 6 days in a wonderful dream. I cried when I left because I just wanted to stay. We were a bit hesitant after seeing some of the reviews about the staff and building maintenance. The Thai sun and the sea are very harsh on a building but, despite that, I thought the resort was maintained very well. And the staff treated us like royalty. Toom was a gem; she was so attentive to our every need! Our family of 4 stayed in a 2-bedroom beachside villa and it was, honestly, the most beautiful and amazing location we have ever experienced. The villa felt luxurious and spacious with plenty of space for our two teens to get comfortable. Tubkaek Beach is quiet and full of natural beauty (just how we like it). We rented a paddleboard and kayak, the kids chased crabs on the beach, and a couple of monitor lizards ambled in the yard as we played in our private pool. We came away completely refreshed and reinvigorated. Thank you!!!

This location is a 4 star resort, but it didn’t feel that way at all. We were always treated like royalty and the staff was amazing. I loved our 2 bedroom, kitchenette, walk out patio with pool. It then walked directly out to our private beach, which was very clean. The beach bar and restaurant were also just feet from our patio. So convenient! The food and drink was amazing. The view from the breakfast restaurant was additionally breathtaking. It was a beautiful treat every morning. My bed was very firm and a bit uncomfortable for my stiff back, but the other bed was softer. We really had no need to leave the resort unless we wanted to sight see. I visited during the rainy season in June and it only rained periodically. However, the rain never lasted long and nor did it prevent us from doing the things we wanted to do. On site travel coordinators assisted with private island tours with authentic long mirror boats that picked us up right from our resort. No driving to other sites was necessary. When we wanted to visit Ao Nang. The resorted coordinated a driver for us to travel to and from our destinations. If you’re looking for the quieter side of Krabi, with less tourism and private attention, then Tubkaek beach is the destination for you.

Great view of the Andaman Sea from the room. Room was a good size. As it was low season for the first two days had the resort to myself. The beach attached to the resort is excellent.

The location is excellent if you are looking for a beach that is shallow enough to wade for a long distance. If you are looking for breathtaking scenery to look at while having breakfast, this is the place. There's surf boards for hire, and boats on the shoreline that can take you to islands that are visible in front of the beach. However, if you are looking for luxury in your room, this may not be the best place to be in. The rooms provide every basic amenity, there's that. But no more than that. The flooring is worn, the walls have peeling plaster in some places, and the architecture reminds me of old middle-eastern homes with weird paint-work. There are a string of other resorts on the same stretch of beach - Amari Vogue, Sunset Resort, and a few other that seem to be in better shape. I'd be back if a good deal is offered though, just for the peace and the beach!

We were looked after by Jamie. He is the best. Number 1. Makes great cocktails. We came here last year. What a difference Jamie has made to this bar area. So friendly and great English. He made us come back just to see him. Such fun. We only go when we know he is there because we get great service. .
