The character and presentation of the room, our room had everything needed for a comfortable stay, including a fan.

Reception staff rude. On phone when we went in and held hand up to us. We were ignored until she finished her conversation. Evening meal poor. I ordered a king prawn linguine with chorizo and got a chorizo linguine with 3 prawns.

We were given a well appointed river facing room which we vey much appreciated and the facilities were quirky but very good. Our whole stay was very much appreciated, the evening meal we chose was excellent, the breakfast choice was good and staff were friendly and helpful. This central location is an ideal spot from which to explore Dartmouth's intriguing small and narrow streets with their individual shops, restaurants, galleries, and don't forget the Arts Centre with films, plays and travelling acts on offer, then to cap things off there are variety of walks or interesting boat trips to satisfy any curiosity you may have left to explore Dartmouth. We had a lovely time.

Seagulls are always an issue. Dartmouth is looking a bit tired, the council needs to spend money (at the moment not vast sums but will get that way if not addressed) on sprucing the place up in these difficult financial times. The town has a lovely aspect and the most needs to be made of that to benefit Dartmouth's future.

The hotel is terrific. It’s been renovated to a high standard, the location is excellent and the staff are great. Dinning room on the second floor for guests is amazing.
