Bedford Hotel

Canadian visitors were given an absolutely beautiful upgraded room and a packed breakfast as they had to be on the road very early in the morning. Most satifactory.

The Bedford Hotel is an icon of Tavistock and has such history attached to it. The location is brilliant, right in the centre of this lovely market town on Dartmoor. The staff are very friendly and welcoming. And the restaurant is superb, and I must recognise the chefs who delivered a really excellent dinner and breakfast during our stay. I would make a special trip for the food. I stayed with my brother during a nostalgic visit for us to the places where our parents grew up, and there are long family connections with both Tavistock and the Bedford Hotel. All in all a wonderful stay in a special property.

Dinner was good, and bar well stocked with good cocktail menu Generous tea and coffee tray in room with a bath

Breakfast was a bit sparse on the sel-serve section, and you could only order one hot choice (our choice had run out) Electric charger was difficult to use

Great location and central for night the Wharf forTribute band.

Nothing to dislike.
