Loved the traditional nature of the old building

Very disappointed that parking was extra at £8 overnight. Available free to those that booked direct but not to us because we booked through booking.com

Breakfast was good, although I’d have liked a bit more.

Didn’t appreciate being woken up at 5:45 ish by a very noisy dust cart on Tuesday morning.

We had our intimate wedding reception at the Bedford. Kay was incredible at being so flexible with our intimate reception! She answered any and every question promptly and professionally. The staff on the day were wonderful. The bridal suite is gorgeous and the guests that stayed with us were happy with their rooms. Breakfast both mornings was lovely, with staff remembering mine and my son’s allergies which was incredible! The rooms we used were lovely and exactly what we wanted! The food was probably the best meal I’ve ever had. Our guests were raving about the quality. The presentation was exquisite, more than we could have hoped for! We managed to have some rare English sun so could go into the garden for the cocktail hour which was gorgeous. They were also super flexible so my wonderful dog Benji could enjoy in the celebrations. Thank you so much for giving us such a wonderful day! I couldn’t recommend the hotel more for a meal, a sleep and a wedding!! Truly made it a wonderful experience for us.

Post-operation (knee replacement) I needed a few days break, and having previously stayed at both The Bedford and The Two Bridges hotels, knew that I would be comfortable. Checked in by charming Zoe who did all she could to help when I requested a chair to be put in my very small single room. I had everything else I needed in the room however, but question the design of putting a full length mirror inside a cupboard, which meant you couldn't see unless you were virtually in the cupboard. The hotel has a comfortable atmosphere, staff are pleasant and helpful. Breakfasts are plentiful and service is good. The Easter Sunday lunch was well presented and very tasty, and full marks for the dining room having flowers and eggs on a central table as a decoration. Finding a taxi to take me to The Garden House on Bank Holiday Monday was a puzzle solved by Zoe, who was determined and so helpful. Travelling on one's own (at my age!) isn't always easy but Zoe certainly made a difference. Altogether a very relaxing and comfortable stay. I would probably ask for a larger room next time.

Absolutely nothing

Ideal spot in the centre of town. Room was large enough and very clean. staff were wonderful, and being able to take the dog a big bonus.

Room of decent size. breakfast and dinner excellent. Staff wonderful.

Staff were very nice, also efficient. Breakfast was lovely. The hotel is very clean indeed.

The room was too hot and small. We did advise reception when we checked out. The black coffee at breakfast was too weak.
