Everything about our stay was excellent - it's a hotel with such history and character and remains a vibrant focal point for people in this lovely town. Staff were incredibly friendly, the food was very good and it has a wonderfully peaceful back garden - perfect to relax in when the sun is out

"Lovely hotel in the centre of Tavistock …"

The Bedford Hotel in the centre of Tavistock is a very nice hotel. We enjoyed an excellent evening at the Murder Mystery evening with a lovely meal and overnight stay. A relaxing hotel, very convenient with pleasant, helpful staff and lovely food. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this hotel to anyone who likes a peaceful, relaxing stay.

"Great staff but a tired hotel in need of a refurbishment"

The staff were friendly and helpful. The bar was ok

The building is very tired and the bedroom smelt horrible. The bathroom was very poor and small with very dated furnishings. The Carpet was stained the bed was tiny and the room was too hot.
