A Small Hotel

Great proximity to public transport, very nice hotel and friendly staff. Would recommend.

Indeed a small but centrally located hotel. Room was adequate, but steep stairway provides only access. Strange breakfast arrangements. Table and cutlery povided, but essentially no dishwashing facilities, and no instructions as to what was expected of guests. We cleaned dishes in bathroom sink, but sometimes staff would replace dishes. No clear instructions in room manual. Phone alluded to but no telephone in room, so reception could not be easily contacted unless you had a phone, as reception is situated elsewhere. Overall the facilities were clean and adequate but more was expected.

We had a great experience at A Small Hotel. The location is perfect for walking, cycling, restaurants, near transport etc. 15 minute walk from Central Station and 20 minute cab ride from the airport. Herman the owner let us check in early as we'd arrived very early in Rotterdam, which was fabulous. The room was big, quiet and comfortable.

Not my first stay there, I return with pleasure. The only problem are steep stairs. ...so Dutch.

Excellent location, few minutes of walk from all of the "must see" attractions of Rotterdam, the hotel itself is on the street full of restaurants, so anybody can find on the street whatever prefers. There is even the coffee shop next to the entrance :) we had room on the third flow, with the windows not into the street. The room itself was spacious, the first impression was like at home. At the second look the room needs a bit renovation, however it is nothing disturbing and you can still be happy. Especially the bathroom and the circumstances with the water was a big surprise. The owner is very nice person, nice to talk and chat. The quality and services were according to the expectation and to our full satisfaction. Very nice touch was the minibar included in the price of the room.

A Small Hotell är liten och inte som dem hotel du kanske känner. Ingen reception, frukostrum eller bar. Men stora rum i hög kvalité, med allt du behöver och i Rotterdams trevligaste gata med caféer och små och stora restauranger. Inte långt från central stationen och många museer. Bra om du vill något särskilt med egen stil. Förutsättning är att du inte har problem med att ta trappor.

This is an excellently located accommodation, walking distance from Rotterdam attractions. We have given a room at the 3rd floor, which was big and sunny (there is no elevator). The room has seen better days and it needs some maintenance and more meticulous cleaning. But for a short stay in town is very convenient. Keep in mind that there is no reception and you get the keys by using codes sent to your email. We had no problems with that procedure.

Very nice hotel with deceptively large and comfortable room after negotiating digital concierge and very steep stairs up 2 floors. Helpful actual concierge quickly fixed lock. Lively street but interesting.

Very friendly and peaceful place in the heart of Rotterdam. Every important thing is very close, like bars, metro lines, museums. We were in the room called Zen Two. It is a tidy, quiet room, the coco-fiber bed was really comfortable. The blanked looked so thin but turned out to be really great. I especially liked the bar service that was included in the price and was refilled every day. If we go again to Rotterdam, we will surely choose this hotel again. I also liked the digital reception, with the cards. It was easy and practical.

We stay for one night and it was pleasant the space inside and the sight out of the three windows that brings a nice light inside ( we have had a full moon night and a clear sky...). The price not corresponding to the quality of the furniture and the grade of cleaning of the room. the bed is real comfortable but all around you would feel and see dust! the bathroom is big even if too much dark ( a bad light inside ) and the shower normally flooding the floor because of geometry fault...not last the stair that brings you up to the rooms is very narrow and steep.
