The island is beautiful, and the staff is really kind. The hotel is quite old but the price is ok for what they offer. Breakfast was good too. 👍

The bathroom can be renovated and the main beds also

Advertised no elevators but failed to mention only access to upper floors is up an open circular staircase on the exterior of the building. Meaning u must carry your luggage up yourself and if you have physical limitations or health issues you are on your own. Had a two night stay booked but needed to cancel reservations because of the stair situation and owner was less than sympathetic and would only refund one night fees. Would never stay or recommend this hotel again.

On appearance this hotel looked ideal for a couple of night stay to visit Kerkenhof, but on arrival we were advised there was no evening restaurant service as the chef was ill, but there are several good restaurants locally. One thing to bear in mind booking here is that it seems all rooms are accessible by external spiral staircases, so someone ( myself included) will find with a suitcase these are very difficult to navigate. Also you need to bear in mind that the hotel is on a small island and is accessible by a small ferry, the cost (2019) is just under €5, each way. Would we stay there again, maybe,

This is a classic small hotel run by friendly, helpful people in a central location and great value. Our room was on the 2nd floor which is accessed through tow sets of fairly narrow circular stairs. They will help with your luggage. Parking is limited and we had to park about 200 meters further down the road. This is not a place for mobility impaired. You reach the island by a short ferry 4,50 Euro round trip. They only charge on the way to the island.

Very nice location in the Kaag Island. Relaxing hotel with cozy rooms and comfortable bed. Wifi free of charge. To reach the hotel you iu have to use the small ferry with, 4,5 euro total to go and come back. 1euro if you want to cross the small canal by walk or bike. 5 restourant nearby in the island. On the island yiu can walk in the fields to the historic windmill. Take with you comfortable shoes because of the humid terrain. Wind is strong in the night so you need even a good wind jacket. You will appreciate the location, the calm of the ambient, the nature around with some real savage birds, ducks and rabbits. Price nice in compare with the hotel in the city. The airport of Amsterdam is directly connected by 20 minutes by car. The ferry is working 24/7.I left the island at 4 o'clock in the morning without problem: the small house near the ferry is where the sailor of the ferry is waiting for the guests during the nights. Just knock and he will drive on the other side of the canal. in the low season they should sign better the way along the channels around the island to avoid high grass or fields fresh fertilized.

Room looked more like it was meant for kids during holiday colony. Metal bunk bed, little space, old bathroom. The worst thing was that it was messy - full od spiderwebs and dust. To high price for these standards

We stayed here to visit the tulip fields and kuekenhof gardens.The hotel is clean and tidy, the staff are very friendly The breakfast continental but plenty. The restaurant and food is very tasty cooked as you want. The bar well stocked. Most bedrooms are accessed via out side stairs so if you can't make them ask for ground floor. Would stay again loved it, thank you to all staff.

The hotel is simple but clean . The surroundings are idyllic but you can be disturbed by the planes approaching Schiphol. The food / breakfast is also simple but the hotel is not overpriced. There are also a nice apparent which is nice for families.

We stayed here for three nights when travelling around Holland by motorcycle. The accommodation is basic but comfortable. The restaurant is fine but the service was excellent even to the extent of the owner offering us lifts to the station when the weather was too poor to want to travel by bike. The island is lovely. The ferry takes 3 minutes and runs night and day. Convenient for Keukenhoff, Amsterdam, sailing, cycling and touring.

fair stay for a night, important creteria was being close to all water activities positives: a few steps away from a little beach, and a harbor with rental boats negatives: room ventilation needs improvement, bathroom (shower especially) needs renewal
