Nice quiet location. Older well kept building. Lovely view from dining room. No A/C and room got quite warm. Our fault for not noticing this. Bed very firm. Breakfast good. No espresso drinks available.

We stayed here as a splurge for our 25th wedding anniversary. Although we'd let the hotel know in advance of this special occasion, no acknowledgement of this was made at all during our stay (no upgrade, no complimentary drink, no card, not even a "congratulations" on check-in). The comfort double room we booked at least had a terrific view of the lake from the balcony. We didn't eat in the hotel restaurant in the evening (put off by the rather strange menu), but the breakfast the next morning was very nice and included some cooked-to-order items, which made a nice change from the usual hotel buffet set-up. The hotel has its own free parking at the side, although some spaces are a little tricky to get into if you have a larger vehicle.

We had the most beautiful view out our room of Lake Bled. The hotel was old but very nice, Staff was great. Great stay.

We spent two nights in April . The view of the lake from the balcony of our room was amazing, and the room and the bed were perfect. All around quiet and silence, for a perfect weekend of relax. The breakfast was very good. Swimming pool very nice. Good bikes for free

This is a beautiful old hotel in a spectacular location with every room having a fabulous view of the lake and the church on the island; very clean, charming staff, lovely large bedroom and good bathroom; BUT. we had the hardest bed we have ever had AND for the three nights (Sunday, Monday, Tuesday) we were staying, there was no bar and no restaurant functioning for anything other than breakfast. This is true every week and is not just a one-off. No nearby restaurants; you have to drive several miles to Bled town. Really the hotel felt closed down. The much promoted "Fine Dining" restaurant "1906" only opens for Wed - Saturday. Be careful which nights you book.

Lovely building, full of history. Some of the rooms have beautiful balcony views over looking the lake which makes this hotel stand out and worth booking for views alone! The paintings, photographs and furniture add to the character and history of the hotel, making it unique in comparison to other hotels in lake bled. Breakfast was lovely with plenty of varied options, catering for all dietary requirements, again with an amazing view of the lake. My only criticism is on day 1, no one was at reception at breakfast time and we weren't sure whether you had to wait to be seated or seat yourself and what the deal was. On day two however, we were greeted by the staff and the menu was explained so this could have been just bad timing for us on day 1! Maybe a bell to ring at reception would be helpful for the staff at busy times. We dined at the restaurant 1906, this was a la carte menu. All the courses were delicious, full of flavour, and the chef was passionate about the dishes and explaining them. The sauna and swimming facilities were an added bonus to the hotel, helping us relax and warm up as we visited in December! 🥶 After a long walk outside, the sauna is a lovely addition to the hotel. You can even have a massage if you wish although we didn't have time for one this time round. All the staff were friendly and helpful, I liked the location of the hotel away from the crowds but close enough for stunning views. Beautiful spa to use for guests. The highlight was the incredible breakfast served where you get to try lots of different local dishes from the breakfast menu. The breakfast was presented to an excellent standard and the waiter Dusko was incredibly kind. Thank you for looking after us so well.

Wonderful view from our balcony, delicious food and friendly staff. would love to revisit.
