Triglav Bled

Hotel Triglav Bled sits high above the lake and offers some great views on the eastern portion of the lake. It is within walking distance of the train station, thus it's very convenient for those coming by train. Hotel is located in a nice, quiet neighbourhood. That also means dining option is very limited in the immediate surrounding area. We had to book two rooms because there wasn't any family room available for our date. Rooms are clean, comfortable and cozy. Size is adequate and functional. The pendant attached to the key is big and heavy. It is clumsy and difficult to carry it around. Each room had its own small balcony with a lake view. Beware trees may block the view in some of the units. Breakfast is very good. It is made to order from a menu. You can order anything multiple times. The restaurant also has a wonder view of Our Lady on the Rocks. On check in we found out there was spa and a sauna. It was supposed to be opened at 8am. We went down at 8:10am, but it was locked and there wasn't anyone around to help. We were later informed that we need to put in an advanced request at least 1/2 hour prior, to allow for setup. Although it has onsite parking, space is very limited. It is even more challenging if arriving in the early evening, when other non-hotel guests may come with their car to dine in the hotel restaurant. If coming with a vehicle, it is strongly advisable to inform the hotel when booking. We were able to leave our car at the hotel after checkout so we can walk to and around Lake Bled the following morning. There is a walking path across from the train station that leads to the closest point of the lake. It takes about 10-12 minutes to get to the lake from the hotel. Overall, we enjoyed our stay.

This place is definitely not good with kids. They actively go out of their way to make it clear they don’t want any kids around. Location is about 10 minute walk from lake but not near any other restaurants so you will need to walk about 1 mile into town for food. Positives were view from balcony and comfortable bed. Cons: air conditioner was broken, shower head ripped out of the actual wall in our bathroom, no kids cots available, it took us literally 50 minutes and asking three times to get granola and yogurt served to us at breakfast.

Hotel had a great view, nice and clean room with the balcony and very helpfull and kind stuff.

This hotel is a real gem. We had a beautiful suite with a gorgeous view of the lake. We never had dinner in the restaurant but breakfast was fantastic - lots of options and all delicious. Staff were so friendly and helpful. We also each had a Triglav Massage which was amazing. It’s a short walk down to the lake (though it’s uphill on the way back) - approx. 30min walk by the lake into town. We really enjoyed our stay here.

Nostalgic old time hotel. Overlooked lake Bled beautiful site. Great trails around the late for walks . Vintage Gorge 10 mins away . Breakfast was very good complementary. The rooms are a bit small . Most staff friendly . Would stay again.

I would suggest you offer another menu to the 1 you have, as an additional for those who don’t have discerning taste. You may find more guests stay for dinner, therefore giving your staff, you are already paying, more to do, more $’s back to the hotel and happier guests who want to stay there for the experience.

We enjoyed our stay and the views. Nice location and spa/pool area. Would recommend the weekend wine tasting. Breakfast was wonderful. Simon was able to assist with last minute castle restaurant reservation. Staff was cordial.
