Hunter Prince Castle Hotel

The nicest hotel in the city I reckon, but food is a bit overpriced as portion sizes are small and quality is good but not amazing. Check in/out staff were really friendly. Waiting staff were a little less service orientated. We had a standard double room which was quite nice and quirky, as is the rest of the building - and this is what you pay for. But basic things like the shower didn't stay on the wall hook as there was no proper matching fitting for it. The room and particularly the bathroom were small, but the room did have aircon. Our room was on the first floor facing the courtyard and the TV in the open air dining area was on really loud all evening. Even with the windows closed it was loud and set to a music channel. We didn't enjoy this when we were eating downstairs there either, but it seems to be a Romanian thing?? lots of restaurants have quite loud tv or music on we noticed. Not relaxing to our taste, but I rang reception around 22:45 to ask about how long the music would go on for and they did turn the volume down and stopped the music half an hour later.

A very quirky looking building, clean and modern. We had a very good night sleep. Tea/coffee facility in the room was the only thing we were missing. The hotel is right in the town centre, perfect location. Off street parking is available. Breakfast was included in our room rate - food variety and quality was acceptable.

Very unique place, great staff, quiet room, good breakfast. Baby loved the statues outside and the woodwork in the dining room. Very close to Salina Turda so can get there before the crowds.

Amazing hotel with wonderful food.

We came across this place while researching our trip through Transylvania. It looked like a nice place and it was. Clean large suite is what we rented and we were not disappointed. Liked the camp play on the Vlad Tepeş /Dracula legend (the reason we chose it) and a great restaurant. We had fun and would definitely recommend.

Certainly crazy decor which is a positive in my book and the food was pretty decent (breakfast and dinner) but we didn't sleep terribly well as there was a private party occupying the dining room (we were relegated to eat elsewhere) and the music and accompanying voices kept going till at least two in the morning. The curtains were not good at keeping out light either so no lie in. It was a Friday night so my recommendation is to avoid Friday and Saturday nights at this hotel in case you come across another party.

The receptionist was very nice, the room was clean, but it lacked a hairdryer, so I had to ask one, and I did receive it, but it was very old and I was afraid to use it. Breakfast was not a pleasant experience, as they served us very dry bread, that looked a day old. When we eventually asked for fresh bread, they said that the one we had was on the table was fresh, but when invited to come and try it, they just changed the bread and acted like nothing happened, no excuses, no nothing.
