Wensum Guest House

We booked this stay because it was very close to our activities and were surprised at how cheap our room was. We turned up late friday evening and our check in was already sorted with our room key waiting for us. The property looked very good when we pulled into the carpark. Inside everything was spotlessly clean. Our room was average size but for a short stay was perfect. Because of our activities on saturday we didnt have the breakfast but the breakfast room looked good. Lady on reception was friendly and helpful. We have stayed in b&bs in Norwich before at twice the price. Definitely will return.

Early check in was kindly offered. Room was quiet and comfortable. Shower cubicle a bit small and the toilet seat annoyingly wouldn’t stay up when having a pee! But everything was clean. Only downside was that I thought I had booked a double but got a twin but it wasn’t a great inconvenience. Breakfast was fine.

It was a very comfortable room, luxurious bed and facilities were great. It felt very expensive in quality at a price that was more than acceptable.

A nice quiet one night stay, nice staff nice room very comfy overall a lovely stay, breakfast really jummy and plenty of choice am defenatly going to stay again very soon. Would recommend this hotel, also easy plenty parking and close to city and reasonable price.

Well presented clean, breakfast was good value and staff helpful.

Room 20 was like a sauna all night regardless of the settings on the radiators in the bedroom and bathroom. Full English breakfast was lukewarm, poached egg cold inside. Shame everything else was good.

3 friends stayed there and we had a great time, nice staff and were very happy with the stay overall

Welcoming and friendly staff at this hotel. We had a really comfortable room but it was very warm in there. Better too warm than cold in winter though. Overall would stay there again at this very pleasant property.

Great location, short walk to city centre, immaculately clean, breakfast was great value for £5. Will stay again.

Check in was excellent. Staff were always friendly and attentive. Breakfast was excellent (They are charging £5 now but we booked before that came in so was included in the price for us but was so nice I would not baulk at paying £5 for it). Room was spacious and clean but the minor niggle is that the bathroom was very small and cramped and you could extend it a couple of feet and the room would still be large enough. . A fair walk to town but a straight line and a few hostelries to take a rest in so not an issue really.
