Wensum Guest House

used the hotel overnight as at a music festival close by and didnt want to drive home late at night. Room booked was family room for 4, plenty of space, lots of tea/coffee/milk supplied in the room. Towels and toiletries also provided. We didnt stay for breakfast, but will if we attend this festival again reception staff friendly on arrival and when we left

My initial expectations were low as the room was small with a shared toilet and shower in the corridor, the weather was extremely hot, and my room opposite a noisy main road.. However, my noisy fan was replaced and it kept me cool, I never had trouble accessing the very clean and spacious bathroom when I wanted - and the bath sheet was the best I've ever had - and with the fan on I didn't hear any noise from inside or outside. So, considering the hot weather I slept very well for me. The reception staff were very helpful and acted on any request. Breakfast was extra but plentiful. I would go again and recommend it.

Comfortable guest house near city centre and University

Thoughtful touch to provide an electric fan in the room on a very hot weekend. Very tasty breakfast with local butcher's bacon, sausage and free-range eggs - although there seemed to be more generous portions on Saturday morning rather than Sunday when the place was full. Clean and comfortable, located in pleasant residential area; convenient walking distance from the city centre and on bus route.

Very good service

The room was very comfortable and well fitted out with all you needed. The only thing that let it down was the on-suite was rather small, no good for a large person, the shower head would not stay up so you could get under it and the light over the mirror with shaver socket did not work.

only booked one nights stay but was impressed with it all, service, how tidy the room was and size of room, and good choice for breakfast, would recommend and stay again.

this is the second time we have stayed at the Wensum and we love it!, spotlessly clean, comfortable, and excellent staff, we will stay here again.
