"Stay here to enjoy Bergen."

A quirky yet well appointed hotel, excellent location 200yards from the airport bus drop off (fishmarket). The breakfast buffet provided a good variety of dishes and the beds were of the most comfortable of our trip - heartily recommended.

I can’t imagine a better place to stay in Bergen! This hotel was right on the historic Bryggen. The rooms had been recently remodeled but still maintained the original character - and exposed walls - of the historic building. The breakfast spread was AMAZING. Would definitely recommend staying here!

"A Wonderful, Unique Hotel"

Det Hanseatiske Hotel is wonderful. The hotel itself is small - a "boutique" hotel, which we liked and the location is perfect (right next to the harbor). The rooms are spacious, well furnished, very clean and very comfortable. The bed gave excellent support for my bad back. Service is great and the staff was always friendly and helpful. In addition the breakfast, included in the price, is excellent. A special feature you seldom get: the hotel is very historic and the building and rooms made that obvious. The stay was worth the price!

Great location. Room very top floor, was that because of our $rate? Room was quite large, had confusing light controls. Enjoyed being across street from Bar3, busy, noisy on Thurs/Fri nights. Breakfast bar pretty sparse if not done early. Coffee machine in restaurant was confusing. Saw very few staff during our stay.

Great location, full of character, very friendly staff, quirky building and rooms, you should want something other than a standard hotel room if you stay here. Had a great large “suite” in the rafters with only skylights, felt like somewhere special to stay
