Det Hanseatiske Hotel

Spent two nights in Bergen and found the hotel to be in a very good location, the first night our room was next to the road with work going on during the night, we asked for another room for the second night and were moved with out any problems only smiles. The rooms are a good size and very comfortable. Breakfast was good. Would stay there again without hesitation.

Very unusual property in that the building is old with wooden ceiling beams. I loved the look. The reception staff were helpful to give recommendations for activities and restaurants.

The hotel was charming and in a great location -- very near all of the best sights in Bergen. The staff was extremely helpful.

Bathtub didn't drain properly, apparently because the pipes are very old. When I told front desk about it they acted as though I should have somehow already known about it. I just wouldn't have taken a bath if they had told me! They did a nice job cleaning it up though. No AC in the room either, very loud exhaust fan next to window and very loud street. Nice people but overall a little clunky.

Great location. Everything else was pretty shabby. Flat lumpy pillows, dingy old carpet, broken doors, and staff that couldn’t care less.

Helpful desk staff. Excellent location near key harbor sites, but quiet. Top breakfast. Historic building with unusual layout.

A bit worn around the edges. Good location. Having different rooms is quaint but some better than others for same price.
