Severn View Hotel

The location is great, very central and easy to find. The staff were friendly.

We had no electricity at all throughout our stay (I am talking no plug sockets worked and we tried the many sockets we had in our room and even in the corridors). This was raised with reception, who said they would fix it but didn’t. We also had no heating, so I had to sleep fully clothed - it was freezing! There were flies in the sink, a huge patch of mould on the wall and a blood stain on the bed! The shower also fell off the all as soon as it was touched. Whilst the staff are nice, so I feel bad to say this but this place is not a functional hotel and should not be operating in these conditions in my opinion.

The hotel is ideally located for visiting Worcester and has friendly, welcoming hosts. The bed was comfortable and clean, shampoo/shower gel and plenty of towels were provided in the bathroom, although both rooms need a few repairs.

The current owners haven't been there very long and are working to improve the rooms, which at the moment are a bit tired and jaded, and have the usual problems found in old buildings. They seem very keen to get things up to a better standard and I'm sure that in time this will be a really lovely place to stay.

Jamie the Manager was so warm welcoming and friendly. Makes all the difference!

Great location near town. Easy walk.

Need some sheer curtains at bedroom window as room windows were large and looked directly onto traffic at traffic lights. Very exposed. Room needs some urgent update. Very tired although clean.

This is right on the river, and next to a large car park. It's in need of some love and attention, but it's under new management so will hopefully improve. Friendly host.

There are some teething issues with getting rooms ready - which could do with a bit of maintenance.

Not much, Minimal staffing, Poor selection of beers. Generally "old and mouldy". Huge difference between the photo on Booking.com and the unimpressive reality.

Upon my arrival around midday, there was no-one on site to grant access to the hotel...very poor. Internet connection - completely useless. No lifts, so the implication is that. for management, guests are expected to undertake all haulage up all staircases.

Nice location

One to avoid...hotel was locked at midday when a bag drop was attempted and then locked at 11pm when the guest returned after a trip to the theatre. Had to wait for someone to arrive by car to be let in. Room was not very nice...a disappointing stay.
