"Passable"

Beds were comfy, and the room had a fridge.

Not clean, I don't think the sheets were changed. I don't like the fact I had to walk somewhere else to check in.

"Basic but clean and affordable"

Quite basic and dated but affordable. Very clean. Good quality PG tea and Nescafe coffee. Like that it has plenty of parking available. Quiet area, no passing traffic. Easy check in and check out.

Tiny bathroom, very old shower which trickled lukewarm water, impossible to wash my long hair. Kitchen facilities handy but constant smell of cooking from it. Double bed comfortable but single bed had springs poking through so I had to sleep on top of the quilt (with a towel as a blanket)

"Would stay again"

The place was a bit dated, but it was nice as this gave it character. The staff were incredibly helpful. They were on hand to handle queries. Nothing was too much trouble. I would stay here again.

You do have to check in at another hotel, but it is only round the corner.

"Victorian Shabby chic minus the chic"

We were disappointed at the cleanliness of the room. Overall it was shabby and felt down in the mouth. A disappointing start to my UK trip.

We arrived at our location only to find that we had to go another 10 minutes walk to a different location for reception then registered had this been explained to us we would’ve got dropped off at the reception location Bathroom door lock broken Then I found an insect on the end of the bed in the morning I sent over pictures but no response.
