In Room 214 we could not get the tv remote to turn off the TV. Hubby checked for switches, buttons on the screen and Nope. We were problem solvers and unplugged the tv. Yes, we are “mature” but still IT professionals. LOL Everything was really nice in the room though. Breakfast was also good on 9/13. We like our stays at Hampton Inn

Close proximity to where our event was. Loved the digital key so we didn’t have to stop by the front desk which was good because we were caught in a rain storm and were soaking wet. Room was super clean and comfortable and stylish!

Very poor experience with this room. My room was a king room. Unfortunately the THIN king size mattress without box springs was on top of a regular sized frame. The bed sagged and was very lumpy. Homeless people panhandling were on each a joining street corner. This is branded as a Hampton Inn which is typically a good value chain, unfortunately this location does not meet minimum expectations for a Hampton Inn. At best this is a No Star ⭐️ hotel. Athens has many cheaper hotels in safer locations that are much cheaper.

The staff were very sweet and nice. One person I would like to commend was a member of the staff managing the breakfast service. She was really nice and it was a pleasure interacting with her.

Room had a musty smell as though it had been unused for a while or had something spill inside the room or just outside in the corridor. On letting the staff know about it, we were told that a change of room wasn't possible. They sprayed the room with some room deodorizer, which didn't really help much. All in all, not a pleasant experience.
